SPOTM September 2023 - Two's company

voting has now finished in this competition , thank you to everybody who voted and to those who entered the competition with such a good selection of entries.
The winner was myself with a pair of Russian Government IL.62s in Aeroflot colours at a comparatively rural Heathrow on 15th July 1991 and the days of glasnost in the early post USSR years as President Gorbachev visited London to take part in the G7 summit when friendship and co-operation was well in evidence. These two IL.62s were just a small part of his aerial entourage that arrived for the visit - what a day that was!

Second was Porkscratching with his Bristow/HMCG S-92A & AW189 arriving at Fairford for RIAT on 14 July 2022:
