I and the other mods have been discussing the 2019 calendar for some time now and we have now finalised it so here are the subjects:

January - Flybe

February - Jumbo Jubilee. The Boeing 747, celebrating 50 years since it's first flight

March - Cessna Citation series

April - any civilian Lockheed aircraft, a star studded subject

May - De Havilland Canada aircraft (i.e. DHC. *)

June - Emergency services aircraft such as air ambulances, police , coastguard

July - French letters , As it's Bastille Day on 14th the subject is any aircraft with a French (incl. French overseas) registration

August - smoke or vapour. Can be either an aircraft contrailing or with vapour on/off the wings or discharging smoke (display smoke, engine start up or dirty engines!)

September - a dose of the Pitts. Commemorating 75 years of the Pitts Special so any version of that amazing biplane

October - British holiday airlines of the past (either defunct or absorbed into other companies)

November - a displaying aircraft from a 2019 airshow

December - Winter Wonderland, any photo of a civilian aircraft as long its includes snow or/and Ice

so there we are, hope you like it and you've plenty of time to start looking for those subjects. And watch out for icy or snowy days this winter for opportunities to photograph the December subject!

post any questions here and I / we will do our best to answer them

Apologies for my ignorance but Octobers theme 'holiday' airlines is perplexing me. While I have enjoyed seeing airliners over many years I am a complete novice as to which have only operated 'holiday' flights as opposed to standard scheduled services to holiday destinations. Any chance of a list of acceptable airlines for entries into the competition.
