Post by andygolfer » Tue Sep 04, 2018 6:26 am

This is the voting poll for the August 2018 Special Photo Of The Month competition, the subject was ‘De Havilland designed aircraft'
Thank you to everybody who submitted entries - we had 13 entries of a very high standard and a wide variety showing just how versatile De Havilland were through the years.
The poll is open to all registered members but you must be signed in to vote.
Please submit your THREE votes using the poll provided.

- You cannot change your vote once submitted and please vote for all 3 choices before hitting the submit button as you cannot go back to place 2nd and 3rd choices later
- Each of your three votes holds equal value
- The poll will run for 7 days from the time of creation
- Please don't vote for yourself! There is no way to enforce this, just an honesty policy
- Entrants are listed in alphabetical order for ease (with a short description to help identify the entries)
- Results will be announced on the photo thread in the usual manner and the winning photos will be posted in the Hall of Fame
the entries can be viewed here:

the voting has finished in this competition and the winners are (this is where I get embarrassed for a moment), first was me with DH.60 Moth G-EBWD at Old Warden during the evening show in May this year

In second place was London Eye (Pete) with this Dan Air Comet G-BDIT lamnding at Gatwick

then we had a 4 way tie for 3rd place between
waghorn41 (Ian Pursey) who has finally made it to the HoF with another Gatwick photo but this time several Dan Air Comets - what memories that brings back!)...

BringbackEGDG (Stephen Rendle) with Sea Vixen G-CVIX/XP924 at RNAS Culdrose Airday 24th July 2013.

paultojo (Paul Harvey) with a Dove beating up Ballyboy farm strip (bet that scared the sheep!)

and finally Paul Zeitzman with DH-89A Dragon Rapide (G AGTM) taken at RIAT on 7 July 2012

well done to all of them and thank you for supporting the competition

the winners can be viewed in the Hall of Fame here: http://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum ... 12&t=31172
