Specialist photo competition - March 2014
Specialist photo competition - March 2014
This is just for a bit of fun to get the photo competitions running again, no prizes though (unless anyone has anything to offer ) !
The subject is :- Twin engined turboprop airliners.
Photography Competition Rules :-
1. Only one entry per user, unless posting on behalf of another person who is unable to do so themselves (children for example). If this is the case, please state so on your entry..
2. The photo must be of a civilian twin-engined turboprop airliner (SF340, DHC8, SD360, ATR-42, ATR-72 etc.) taken at any time.
3. The image can be photo-shopped to some extent, levels changes, cropping, sharpening etc. are all acceptable. The photograph must retain it’s initial subject though, don’t make it something it’s not, (cutting and pasting the moon into the shot, for example !). HDR images are not acceptable. If you are unsure, please PM a moderator.
4. The competition will remain open until 23.59 on the 1st April 2014, to enable anyone with a last minute entry some breathing space.
5. Voting will be conducted by Dino Carrara, Editor of Aviation News shortly after the closure of the competition.
6. The decision of the moderating team is final.
7. All images must be posted in line with the usual CA posting rules (size etc.), please read them if you're not sure how to post.
8. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.
9. Please also embed the images and not links to images, if you're not sure how to do it then shout up and someone will sort it out. It is permissible to change your entry before the closing date.
10. Do not comment on other member's photos.
11. A brief description of where and when the image was taken would be nice too.
Good luck everyone.

So many photos to chose from - I am a big fan of turboprop airliners...
It will have to be this one, though, taken at Billund boarding at dusk last October - a one of a kind as it is the only D328 prop painted in full British Airways colours:

Here's mine, Darwin Saab 2000 at Schiphol earlier this year - another airline gone! (Albeit having been bought out and rebranded)

N410MN Beech 1900C of M & N Aviation gets ready to depart St. Maarten 30/06/08.
I'm astounded by the success of this thread and there's still 3 weeks to go, keep them coming guys.
Next month we'll have another and we'll also re-introduce the normal Photo of the Month competition, if that's OK with you all?
