Reports PH-BFG scrapped March 2021

https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtop ... #p22718069

Reports scrapped on 25 March 2021.
Morning Maltatripper, I’ve recently added to the list on the first page of this discussion regarding past arrivals in previous years and rough times of scrapping, the first British Airways 747 to arrive G-CIVL has also been reported as now scrapped this month too.

A nice visitor yesterday was Blackbird Air Charter Dassault Falcon 2000S OY-SWO which departed to Billund at 15:14 as BBB5P, good to see the biz Jets are now starting to return. Looks like it has visited before though.

Also seen reported that G-BYGE is the next BA 747 to be chopped as it has apparently been moved to the scrapping compound area.

I saw G-BYGE yesterday

The engines and cowlings have been removed. Part of the outer left wing is also missing.

Also a section of fuselage on the left side approximately over the wings. Three rows of seats can be seen.

Also seen were pitprops. Not sure if undercarriage is to removed from G-BYGE or F-HSEA.

Also some outer skin gone forward of the first door.

I expect that full scrapping will soon follow.

OY-SWO is a fairly regular visitor at Kemble. Last visit was on 20th August 2020 but it also visited on 1 August, 29 July, 18 July and 14 July last year. Usually to/from Bilund airfield in Denmark (home of Lego :))

I’ve updated the info on the first page today with the latest Norwegian 737 arrivals and also conformation that Jet2 757 G-LSAG and Czech A319 OK-MEL have both been scrapped at 33 years old (757) and 13 years old (A319) respectively.

Looking at the B717.

EZ-A01 is still there.

EZ-A102 was there 1/11/2020 but not seen 2/12/2020 or since.

EZ-A106 and EZ-A107 were there 19/12/2020, but not on 3/4/2021. What was/is there is a nose section. Based on www.planespotters.net, my hunch is that it EZ-A107 which they record as scrapped in March 2021, rather than EZ-A106 scrapped January 2021. This is supported by the nose section seen now has all windscreen panels intact. By 1 November 2020, EZ-A106 was missing the central windscreen panel.

IMO, showing EZ-A102 scrapped November 2020, is a solid bet, EZ-A106 being scrapped in early 2021 is on the balance of probabilities.
