Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Cotswold Airport on their FB page are not confirming any times or the ultimate fate of Victor Bravo.
Elsewhere a departure from LHR @ 8.35L is quoted with one aircraft doing a flyby before leaving for its destination.

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Straight from the Cotswold Airport FB page (SIC):
Doesn't seem to be particularly well managed IMHO. If the gates are closed people will naturally try to park on the side of the road to see the arrival from there instead - which is fraught with issues as alluded to in the FB post above. The sensible thing to do will be to open the main gates at 8:00 and open the burger van at that time as well. Everyone benefits and the parking / traffic issues go away.
Seems an odd post to me for a number of reasons. Since the scheduled departure time is sometime between 8:15-8:35L from LHR, depending on what source you look at, it'll be arriving at Kemble around 9:00 or slightly before, which is exactly when Cotswold Airport are also saying their main gates will open to the public. But then in a separate post they said the gates will open earlier. If they're asking the public to come into the airfield to watch the arrival then they need to open the gates well before 9:00.I note there are lots or rumours floating around spotter sites regarding 747 arrivals at Cotswold Airport tomorrow.#, most of which are not entirely correct.
We are expecting one 747 arrival tomorrow, weather permitting and thus flight times have yet to be confirmed. I acknowledge this particular aircraft due to its colour scheme may well attract more attention than others. Its future, like all other aircraft currently in storage at the Airport, is unknown, despite some fanciful rumours, and this decision resides with the airline/owners.
The A429 road alongside the Airport is a very dangerous and fast road, particularly near the blind bend. Please for your own safety avoid this area.
We have informed the local Police, but please take care if you plan to watch. I would strongly encourage all to come into the Airport and to the viewing area near AV8 to view from a safe place where you can see the whole runway. its also a pedestrian area, so child safe and we can park well over 400 cars. The (only) entrance to the Airport is sign posted of the A433 (Tetbury to Cirencester) road. Postcode for satnav in GL7 6BA. There is no charge to come in or park and a burger van is on site, in the viewing area.

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Well it’s now at Kemble, arrived around 10:00am. It has now also been added to the arrivals list which is on page 1.
Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Arrived 10:12local time. The weather was terrible and she circled overhead Brize at 7,000ft for 30 minutes with the option to divert to Cardiff if the weather hadn't improved by then. Right on time the blue sky appeared and she made her final landing.
I made a short 10m film of the arrival - watch to the end when the pilot says "Engines shut down for the final time" and hear the emotion in his voice

Great video nitro, I look forward to seeing it at Kemble on my next visit, hopefully with the engines on for a change!nitro999 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 7:59 pmArrived 10:12local time. Yes hope you get to see her. I understand the engines might be removed for re-use, but then replaced with end-of-life ones afterwards.EMA Planespotting wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 8:48 pmGreat video nitro, I look forward to seeing it at Kemble on my next visit, hopefully with the engines on for a change!nitro999 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 7:59 pmArrived 10:12local time. As an aside, I spotted this tweet which suggest maybe one of the stored A320s might be departing Kemble soon:

Good to hear something might be leaving soon, looks like one of the ex Qatar ones. If it happens to need painting, I’d love to see it at East Midlands at Airbourne Colours! Thanks for the info on the Negus 747 toonitro999 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 8:58 pmAs an aside, I spotted this tweet which suggest maybe one of the stored A320s might be departing Kemble soon:

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Straight in, no drama! I pretty much had the airfield to myself today after the crowds from yesterday... probably still drying out. As usual a short clip of the A319 arriving today. Appreciate the head's up from user EMA

It’s an exact month ago today that the first TAP A319 came in so maybe it’s on the 9th every month.

Rumours are that 747 TF-AAH is due out on Friday 30th October after a 6 month stay, it is in the full Saudi Colours and was leased by Air Atlanta Icelandic. Apparently it has undertaken engine tests in the past couple of days.

TF-AAD Departed a bit later than scheduled but is now on descent into Doncaster, I’ve heard it’s doing 8 weeks of PPE flight from Xiamen.

According to maltatripper it is VP-CMN, which is the fuselage only one. The 2 other full frames will remain on site.
