Help needed to identify an air-frame 12 April 2109

Post by Polehill » Fri Apr 26, 2019 8:02 pm

Had a very quick visit to Kemble, didn't have time to go up to the top of the field. From the lay by I managed to snap this air-frame, can anybody identify it for me? Thanks

reg G-CELX is an ex Jet2 B.737-300 listed as stored at Kemble

this post contains a link which James provided some time back is worth a look to see what is happening, it listed G-CELX and has a photo of it in the April 2019 update, might help you with others there as well

Ah, I see, that's a bit more tricky, thought it was a bit of an odd question (too early in the day for me!).

I've just looked at the list on the link that I posted and there a pic there of 'LX with a 727 fuselage facing it- I'm sure it's a 727 and in the right position and the list gives 727s 2-MMTT and VP-CMN B727 '(fuselage, clipped wings, no engines)' in that area. 2-MMTT is side on and complete in that photo so I'm pretty sure it will be VP-CMN - I've even surprised myself now! :D

Hi Andy,

Surely the fuselage is VP-CMN.
