Re: Bruntingthorpe 2014

She does look well, sadly though I very much doubt any have been saved from the scrapman. The US reg will be a change of ownership and they may use it for one last flight to the breakers, or even be broken up here All six here have been allocated US registrations. The Dominies at Kemble are US regis...

Re: Bruntingthorpe 2014

I have a pic, but can't acess photobucket...will post when I can It looks like the pic has bleached the green to white and the blue is looking green That way it matches the Olympic/Asda 747 which is parked just where this is...or appears to be and the area of blue showing through on this side matche...

Re: Jersey late 60's

Too wide a subject as there was a lot and things changed greatly during that time with onlder types becoming extinct and newer type taking over Off the top of my head a taster, nothing more Some type only went at busy times or back ups so not all these types were in service at the same time. You can...

Nice 'oddities' ther..thanks a lot for that

It always suprises me how small the 767-200 was. Ok it's big , but, compared to the -300,400 and the TriStars, DC 10 that were arround it it was more akin to the A.310.

Very nice, and here this shows something I've wanted to know for years...going back to when the Connie ruled the airways...Why do they taxy in with the door open?. The airliners could often be seen chugging along to the pan with the crew door open. :???:

Re: Airliners in the 80/90s(Updated 05.07.14)

I don't really understand Air Canada of recent years. They had always used that lovely bold red. They later changed it into not such a strong colour then moved away from it. I felt they lost their identity then and even now when I think of Air Canada I see that DC8 rather than a light blue all over ...

Thanks for that Terry. Hectic schedule means I'd not had a chance to go really deep with research and nothing on the obvious sites had come up. :( Problem with me is I've hardly ever seen gliders as we don't have them locally and so they all tend to look similar to me making research that m...

Re: Airliners in the 80/90s(Updated 05.07.14)

The Air Canada scheme is beautiful but thta's not the one worn by the Vanguards. That livery stripe didn't go all the way to the tail and there were black titles and black windscreen surrounds on the livery worn by the Vangaurds. They also had grey undersurfaces which is no where near as smart as th...

Straight dump from my log for the 22 June Enroute across Germany from Latvia to France we diverted to see Bavaria One and a half hours on the mound at Munich and brief, very brief stops elsewhere. + means the reg is false with the real identity in ( ) before the operator.
