Re: Bye Bye MD-11!

There are still more flying than not...bet freighter now.

Fed Ex will soon strt slowly replacinbg the fllet but it will be many years before they finally fade out. I guess UPS will be in much the same position.

KLM had been the sole pax operator for a while now.

Re: Bye Bye MD-11!

Thanks for this.

That's the end of passenger carrying for the type.

I suppose the DC 9 and variants are the only Doulas airliners left in sheduled pax service in dwindling numbers along with the odd Dak here and there.

Truly the end of an era

Didn't think any of the G-CIV's were going. Perhaps it's to receive interior or other parts from a withdrawn aircraft ??

Re: Bruntingthorpe 2014

Ah..right...thanks yes it was lack of support now for the actual type, but I didn't realise it was not applicable for all As tabkers they won't need to do the same amount of hours as airliners so hopfully they will get a new lease of life. Originally Pan Am or BA and then RAF they will have been loo...

Re: BAE146 N880PA ex G-OZRH

is it possible it is still at manston being worked on inside.??

I don't see why it couldn't fly out even if the airport is closed. Just would need to be given the proper fire cover for the event.

Just a thought.

Re: Duxford 11-7-14, Super Constellation HB-RSC

Again I ask a question I've asked all over the place for many years but never got an answer  Why, and this is bourne out by pics when in service too, do Constellations taxy in with the crew door open. Both front in this case but usually only the starboard. It is a common event with the type. :?...

The white one and one of the liveried had a reg from the airline who's livery it was...I forget now the details. The other liveried one was US reg. It would seem straightforwards from a list that the t...
