Re: Antonov AN-22 leaving Manchester 7th Dec
Great pictures. I stood in my garden in Edgeley in the rain watching its approach on plane finder until it passed over. Although it was dark it didn't matter as the sound it made was amazing! Great shots of some rare air frames in a location not many of us are likely to visit.

Nice pics. I believe ZS-NEX is another team bus. This one taking Man City to America where they will play local rivals Utd.

Some quick snaps taken at Manchester Barton whilst I was waiting to go up in a Helicopter for a pleasure flight. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4327/35766198592_255ecb4063_c.jpg SAM_1116 by Paul Holland , on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4207/35547871790_b838e2038e_c.jpg SAM_1115 by Paul Hol...

Great pics. One of my favourite spotting trips was when I did Denham, Leavesden and Elstree in the days when you were allowed to get up close to the parked aircraft. Think I got writers cramp that day I logged that many.

Re: Boeing 707
What a fabulous aircraft the 707 was. When I think back to the variety of aircraft that I used to see at Manchester and especially Heathrow it makes me long for time travel!
As an aside the Air Canada looks like a DC8? I don't remember Air Canada having 707s?

Is there a book for spotting birds? I walk to work along a river and every year around May these small birds turn up for about 6 months and then disappear. They nest in the side of the walls. Could they be Swifts or Swallows?
