I'll kick this off with an old b&w shot of OO-SDN coming in to land at LHR, 1977/8. Had a few others, in colour at Kai Tak, to choose from but this looked the sharpest.

All taken at Kai Tak in 1976, Haven't cropped the photos too much as I thought you might like to see the old Kai Tak. Cargolux, Tradewinds, Transmeridian Air Cargo (2 colour schemes) Transmeridian Hong Kong, Transvalair. Hope you like these as much as I do. :D Apologies but my records of exact dates...

Unable to offer much (as usual) but I'll throw this one in. Line up of Dan Air Comets at Gatwick 1977 or 1978.

Re: SPOTM 2019 Calendar
Apologies for my ignorance but Octobers theme 'holiday' airlines is perplexing me. While I have enjoyed seeing airliners over many years I am a complete novice as to which have only operated 'holiday' flights as opposed to standard scheduled services to holiday destinations. Any chance of a list of ...

Re: SPOTM September 2019 - A dose of the Pitts
Well, as usual to make up the numbers, one from the archives. Rothmans Team Pitts (S2A?) G-SOLO at Sywell, possibly 1981. Not sure why there was somebody upside down in the cockpit... Re: LAA Sywell 31-8-2019
I used to go to the PFA rallys. Popped over on the Friday thinking I'd have coffee and some cake in the Pilots Mess café - a public area - only to find it was closed off. They wanted £12 for a 3 day pass when I only wanted to go for a coffee. That sort of money is beyond me on my pension, the coffee...

Re: SPOTM August 2019 - Smoke or Vapour
I'll kick this month off with a rather grainy shot taken at LHR in 1977. Strangely enough with all my airliner photos hardly any of them are 'dirty' !

A few photos from way back when, well the better ones at least. Concorde demonstrator F-BTSC at Kai Tak. Re: SPOTM July 2019 - French Letters, aircraft with a French registrations
I chose this as it's the cleanest photo I have, my shot of Super Frelons at Kai Tak is a bit meh and my TAT HS748 at LHR are a bit common as is a pile of other stuff. So, Concorde demonstrator F-BTSC at Kai Tak (RAF side) early morning in 1976. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48433251132_4b6db45...

Re: can we have more comments on photos please?
I agree with what has been said about clogging up with repeated 'great pic' etc type comments. Also the like button has merit to a point. C&C - well and good but as has been pointed out not everybody can afford the best kit or the time to wait for that 'perfect' shot. Personally I rarely take photos...

Great selection of photos Mark. I thought I'd done a thread in the 'Themed' section but on checking I obviously had not. So, vol 1 from me: Wardair at GTW the rest from LHR, all 1977-8. Re: SPOTM February 2019 - Jumbo Jubilee - 50 years of the mighty Boeing 747
Decisions, decisons. So many photos of 747s to choose from. But in the end I'll go with this one, just because I like the shot even though it is distant. I think the colours are nice too. :D It was this or a Seaboard World Containership about to touch down at Heathrow. CP Air departing Kai Tak after...

OK, I'll kick this off with - NO not a Wessex! - but a shot of a Cathay Pacific B707 heading to the terminal after landing over the roof tops into Kai Tak (1976). Photo taken from the left hand seat of, yes a Wessex  https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1916/30844869547_b945e11330_z.jpg 28 33 by Ian...

Just to keep the number of entries up and start the ball rolling. A rather distant shot of Lufthansa DC10 just landed at Kai Tak after the famous roof top approach. View from my window, Hong Kong island in the background. (it was either this or a Boeing 707 at a wet Kai Tak) https://farm2.staticflic...

Re: SPOTM calendar for 2018
So the photo can be taken from a military aircraft looking at a civilian one? yes that's correct. But if it's just the interior of a military aircraft that will not be acceptable. andy Thanks, I've got an interesting, but not vote-worthy, shot to make up the numbers so that's November taken care of...
