Re: 737 variants -100 to -900

Lets go 200-900. Tried to pick the most unusual locations for each, got more shots of 800 series than all my other 737s combined! https://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7725/27906915856_bb4eea16e3_c.jpg Peruvian 737-200 OB-1841-P pushes back by Timothy Young , on Flickr https://c8.staticflickr.com/6/5624/234...

Re: McDonnell Douglas MD-11 -- someone must have seen one :-

Loving the older shots, some great liveries on there. Just a couple from Schiphol from me: https://c7.staticflickr.com/6/5729/22959791422_1232c6b49e_c.jpg KLM MD-11 PH-KCA by Timothy Young , on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/716/22554853448_b03212f3c2_c.jpg MD-11 PH-KCK at Schipol by Timothy Y...

Hope I might see some when we fly into Kiev in November, so far all my Antonov spots were during a few hours at Peru, best of the lot:

Dusseldorf Airport - 31/08/16

Re-post, my original post from yesterday seems to have disappeared, not entirely sure why. No military stuff in there. A couple of hours at Dusseldorf on 31st August, the highlights being a ANA 787 and Bulgarian Air Charter MD82. From the viewing gallery on the top floor and through the terminal or ...

Re: First camera...

I can recommend the Olympus Pen Pl7, I brought one as a spare camera for holidays and am using it now as much as my full size DSLR. It is a micro-four-thirds camera, so you can buy different lenses for it - I have a short and telephoto lens. You can buy it body only and just get the telephoto to sav...

Re: Schiphol July 2016 - Citizen M hotel and other spots

Thanks. The A300 was a great flight, a really old school flavour from the complex booking process, to the fully manual check-in and the attentive staff and lovely meal on board. After being welcomed by the pilot with “In the name of God, welcome on board the National Airline of the Islamic Republic ...

Schiphol July 2016 - Citizen M hotel and other spots

Travelled via Schiphol to get too and from a little mountaineering in Iran in July, stayed overnight at the CitizenM hotel. I can certainly recommend this - I booked via their website and requested a room with a view of the planes and certainly got this: https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8596/2872071552...

Re: watermarking photos - do you or don't you?

I use FastStone Image Viewer, lets you put a text watermark anywhere on an image at any level of transparency and will do it to a batch of images too. Also batch resizes. I generally just put a small text watermark on the corner, so if anyone just copies them online it will still have my link on it....

Lima, Peru Nov 2015

Flew down to Lima for a little Inca Trail walking in November, had a 4 hour layover at Lima outbound and managed to get a good window spot, pictures are taken through heavily tinted, double-glass on a bridge camera (couldn't take my SLR with telephoto on the walk!) so they are a little grainy and th...

Airliners over Donington Park (90 photos)

Hi all, I'm finally sorting and uploading my plane photos accumulated over the last few years, usually taken while sitting at airports for going on holiday, or in this case while watching motor racing. Donington Park is the circuit under the west end of East Midlands Airport (UK) and while sitting w...
