Caribbean glimpses
Just back from the Caribbean, celebrating our anniversary on a cruise. Did not expect to see much aviation (USA transits were both as evening fell), but these are glimpses of opportunity. Excuse picture quality. Pictures taken on bus tours, through glass etc. San Juan, Puerto Rico has two airports. ...

Re: Hi from the Isle of Wight
Welcome Chris,
it's years since I have been to IOW - the days of lines of Islanders at Bembridge, and the DH89A doing pleasure flights.
Also found Sandown to be a friendly place with a nice café/bar.
Hope you are able to post some pics / news of comings and goings.

Well done with the special schemes / retros. It's always luck catching them.
I'm not sure about the new Lufthansa scheme. It's always been blue/yellow for me.

Thanks everyone.
Some of the angles are a bit underbelly, but I think a bit different with the ones where undercarriage not fully closed up.

Re: Kelowna British Columbia 25-9-2018 , drive by pics from a coach
Still nice to see, Andy.
I had a brief look at Kelowna back in 2007. Looks a bit busier now.
Think I will post a few more Canadian Ramblings in the winter.
Looking forward to the rest of your travels.

Nice to see some pics from Scotland.
Have not been to Glasgow since 1997.... I am sure I would not recognise the changes since then.
thanks

Re: Victoria BC floatplanes, 27th & 28th September
Lovely pictures. Victoria and Vancouver are nice settings, and you can get close to the action. Glad you had a good time. Where else did you get to visit ? I have done the one seaplane trip Victoria to Coal Harbour. I was expecting it to be a bumpy landing on water, but it was gentler than most of t...

Re: Zurich Nostalgia - Part 2
Nice to see. My first visit to Zurich was early 90's. The viewing area and car parks gave a good view of most things. I remember loads of Swiss and Tyrolean parked just left of the viewing area, and the two DC3 Air Classic. The light a/c park at far end had more them days too. Now the newest termina...

Super pictures, looks a really good event.
Exclusive is right - I never saw any advertising for this - yet Ashton always appears in various enthusiast calendar of events.
Must keep an eye for it next year.
Thanks for posting.
