Re: Stansted 5-4-2016, evening visit

Re: back button focusing
it is somthing that i have stuck with and for fast moving subjects like motorbikes i seem to be getting a lot more keepers than using the shutter button for focusing i haven't really found any issues using back button focusing and actually find it quite natural as my thumb sits over the AF ON button...

Re: Dunkeswell 25/3/2016
when shooting any sort of aviation now i always set the camera to shutter priority and then adjust the shutter speed according to the subject for props i will use somthing between 1/125th sec and 1/200th sec, for a moving airliner on the ground i try to shoot above 1/500th, and if the light allows 1...

Re: Hi From Somerset
Hi Mate cheers for the welcome how did the wildlife pics turn out there probably the hardest subjects to shoot as they are so unpredictable and never stay still for long enough as you then push the shutter release oops one shot of there backside with no head  wildlife shots are still work in p...

Re: Dunkeswell 25/3/2016
Hi great first set of pics and some interesting subjects  as far as the shutter speed is concerned be careful how low you go the examples at1/40th of a sec to me are to low and whilst you may well get great blur in the prop chances are you will also get blur/camera shake spoiling the shot, I...

Re: Canon launch the 80d
I'm in a bit a pickle here, its time to retire my faithful 600D, but I'm torn between the 7Dmk2 & 80D, both are of similar price. Pros & Cons for both, could anybody help, just a honest opinion I have the 7D mk11 and it is a fantastic camera well suited to aviation photography and if you shoot at a...
