Image

taken from the roof at schiphol on a freezing february day when the minus eight temperatures really showed the smoke on start to its best, only camera to hand was a pocket compact so not the best shot

Re: Heathrow 28/01/16

I have never really done any photography from the Esso garage I will have to give it a try I tend to try and arrange our visits to coincide with the myrtle ave rotation so you have most of the day with landing shots that everybody has got, I like the idea of trying somthing a bit different and will ...

Re: Heathrow in the early 1970s - some scanned slides

The QB was still open in 1986 when I made my first visit to LHR. I think by mid-1987 the QB was no longer accessible, but the T2 roof gardens still were. They finally closed in the late 1990s, or perhaps even the very early 2000s - I heard because access was not possible for wheelchair users, altho...

Re: Manchester 23L early morning Departures 28th Jan

andy the whole of the new runway has great vantage points as there is a public footpath that runs the whole length and you also have a river tunnel under the runway which give access to spots between the two runways so good when the are using the 05 runways it is a shame that the new runway is only ...

Re: Manchester 23L early morning Departures 28th Jan
