Re: HUY. 11.05.11.
Well doesn't 'TN look smart in its new paint scheme! The Grumman Cougar has been hired in for a short while to do some "twin engined licence" check flights and revalidations. (so I am told by one who should know!)

G-MAJP outside again today - no markings
G-CCPW seemed to have gone today (Friday 6 May), it was outside Hangar 9 first thing but wasn't there when I got back from a trip to Fenland and back in G-BAEP Cessna 150.
Do you know if the J31 in Hangar 9 is G-EIGG - looks like it from the fin colour.

G-MAJP today no longer had Eastern A/W markings. G-INFO notes that an export C of A was issued 21/03/11.
Look out for it to appear in foreign markings unless it is delivered as 'JP

Thanks for the pics. Saw and heard the red Cessna 165 fly over Grimsby on its way in - wondered what it was with a radial engine!

Thanks Rich. Wondered what Commadore 01 was while I was listening out this morning at home. Nice catch with the Spitfire BTW.

Always good to see your posts from Humberside. Were these taken in the morning? Looks like Mr Lake by the King Air.
Not me flying 'AC this time although I took it to Sibson just after dinner to help bring C150 G-BAEP back.

Re: Colombian Jetstream 41!!
Regarding the decaying Jetstream 41 fuselages between the Eastern hangar and Hangar 9 there are actually two of them. The British Aerospace demonstrator/company hack is the left hand one as viewed from the opposite side of the airfield. I have a feeling that the other was an unregistered/unfinished ...

Seen parked outside the Eastern Airways hangar this morning
HK-4765-X Jetstream 41 in basic Eastern blue and white but no markings otherwise.
Check on G-INFO shows that G-MAJV was deregistered on 02/02/11 with a destination of Colombia, guess that's it then.

G-SNSA was in service today (Thursday 25 November). It was G-JEZA last Thursday (18 November)
Hangar 9 doors were openned briefly this morning to put VP-CRB (LJ60) inside. Could see 2 off CHC S76's and 2 off CHC AW139's inside. Believed to be more that were not visible.

Re: Helicopters for rich Man Utd supporters
Thanks for the reply. It was, however, the fact that my brother had 4 helos (A109/B222 size) southbound at about 2 minute intervals on the low level route after last weeks game that prompted the question. So, if not Barton then where I wonder.

Helicopters for rich Man Utd supporters
My brother tells me that after every MU home game he gets many executive helos over his house heading south down the low level route at Thelwall. He asks if they use Barton or is there another landing spot for them? Thanks for any answers.
