Wow! Fabulous capture of a beautiful bird. Barn Owls are near the top of the list of favourites for me. Nailed it :thumb:

Very nice Mike. The colder air and clearer air certainly help with crisper images.

Re: January 2023 photo of the month competition

As numbers seem a bit low this month I'll pop this in. AW.139 G-SNSE seen at Norwich on 23rd January.

Norwich AW.139 Trio

Not a spotting trip but just passing by Norwich on 23rd January (fortunately with camera). A few grabbed record shots but these seemed acceptable for posting: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52665343601_237f8ce65b_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52665843483_7ce6b080d6_b.jpg https://liv...

Nicely caught Josh in the fading light. I must admit these schemes are growing on me a bit.

Having seen your post on FC I knew this one would be well worth a peek! Another great set with great variation in all aspects.

Re: Merry Christmas everyone

Thanks Mike and the same to you and Andy for keeping the forum a civil (!) place. The same is also wished to the forum members. Hope 2020 is kind to you all on the spotting front.

Personally, I am looking forward to April when our first grandchild is due and the end of September when I retire.

Re: Robin Hood (Doncaster) Airport closure

"Choked with emotion" - or poor radio/aural reception?

Sad but it is what it is. I think you know that there is more discussion and "venting of spleens" over on FC.

No amount of discussion here will change reality.

"Unknown35", here you go, simple as Googling "Concorde G-AXDN arriving at Duxford". Here is the first link to get you started:

Are you also Unknown74 on FC?

It had a more spacious allocation in 2019 when I last saw it in Hangar 1 - Transport & Training.

It is sad that any have to go but the Jetstream (XX496/D I presume) is special to me as I flew on it many years ago. Nice set of photos though.
