Re: Old Warden season premiere 01-05-2022

Just watching is no bad thing at all, and easy to forget to do, so perhaps the overcast was a blessing in disguise.

A lovely set Mike, making the most of some excellent light. The Qatar 787 departing is particularly good, and a great scheme on the French Global.

London Heathrow, 19 March 2009

I've not visited Heathrow for a few months, so here's a selection from 2009 that I have only just got around to editing: What a livery this was, especially on a 747: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51699911387_8646851bf0_o.jpg Air India 747-437 by Nick Challoner , on Flickr https://live.staticfl...

I have to agree with Andy, the light sets them off perfectly. Reminds me that I must try and visit on a sunny day this winter.

Great shots - you've certainly made the most of Heathrow's variety and the great light. I well remember my mind being blown on my first visit there.

Re: Stansted 27-11-2021

Excellent shots Andy, and I can see why you went out on the approach first. I guess crosswind was the reason for the ASL diversion, with that strong northerly flow we had yesterday and East Midlands' runway being aligned east-west. Shame we didn't keep the blue sky all morning, but still fantastic t...

London Gatwick 18 November 2006

Catching up on yet another day from the distant past that I had yet to edit. Plenty of airlines that are no longer extant due to mergers, or sadly going bust. Slightly surprising just how many different 767s British airlines operated at this time too. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51631559706_...
