Re: Oaksey Park 18/08/2012
Hi Goose
It's not hard to find , go into the village and there is a 5 way crossroads, take the 'dead end' signposted one.
It's half a mile or so along a tarmac road (tree-lined avenue), then fork right near the house and round to the farmyard and that's it !

'Warm 'copters, Goa
Hi on our annual Goan holiday this year a mere 3,. Re: Batman & Robin arrive at Luton 22.6.97
Morning I assume from the puzzled faces the names mean nothing ! Batman as a cartoon used to be a half hour programme on TV every weekday teatime ( between 5 and 6, Children's Hour !) It was so popular they made a series (or more) with live actors, Adam West was the first 'live' Batman, and Burt War...

If the aircraft isn't going to leave the country they don't have to carry the country identifier.

Hi Steve
Apparently Adam West comes over (moderately) often, for signings & things, as friend Kenny is is Batman mad, I get to hear about it.
Kenny takes his Batmobile models to get them signed. Don't know about Burt Ward though.

Re: Batman & Robin arrive at Luton 22.6.97
Hi I believe they are here connected to an event at Caister/Canvey Island, a 'rock-a-billy' music 'festival'. The organisers have got a selection of '50's American cars and Hot Rods plus George Barris (the accepted 'king ' of hot rods) over from the States. (As an aside a friend of mine is Batman ma...

Re: Nov 2011 Spec Comp: Historic Cargo/Airlines
Evening Just to blow the whole spirit of the competition & to come up with something a little out of the ordinary Taken at Luton, early 70's, I have no idea by whom or with what camera (apart from the chain link fence 'filter'), But it will raise a smile (I was out of the country at the time, so you...

Back to Paris
We arose at the usual disgusting o'clock on Friday 16th September with view to getting to Le Bourget for lunchtime, the objective was to go to see the Dugny facility on the 'open weekend' at the Musee de l'air, needless to say they cancelled but we had booked the ferries & hotel so decided to press ...

Re: Infinity & Beyond
Hi Jakdaw In all honesty it was the Me 262 I most wanted to see, no good reason, I am not at all interested in military stuff usually. I must also admit I thought it was a replica built by Me themselves & was a bit peeved to find it was an American built machine. Still bloo*y amazing though. The sma...

Re: Infinity & Beyond
Hi Jakdaw The Italian reg. The original Italian micro-lites had a seperate registration system I followed by 4 numbers, it appears they have expired the supply, and I GUESS started with a revised system. I assume once they get to I-A999 they'll go to I-B001, we'll have to see.Still going to be a fai...

As Mike has made me feel suitable guilty for not posting about some of my little trips, I have decided you deserve some punishment, so here is a photographic diary for you. I pleaded guilty of posting lists of registrations without types, so no reg's no types, just pics. I left home on August 24th w...

Re: Have your say about CA
Hi Guys Mike I have posted many an epic and am guilty as a poster of a list of reg's with no type(s) attached. I am afraid its just too tiresome logging everything, then looking it up to add the type, then typing it all out to post ! Yes its fine when there are 20 or 30 aircraft , but I tend not to ...

Hi You asked for feed back. Perhaps less military orientated. Of 25 items from AeroResource 6 were civil , some bit of both but MOST BY FAR MILITARY, WHY on a CIVILIAN AVIATION forum ? Does Fighter Control suffer a similar number of civil articles ? The owners/operators are military orientated and i...

Re: Comet at Brunty
Hi Reggie Sorry it was my sense of humour :o . How's your Latin. The Comets were all named after stars. In this case the star Canopus, also called the Dog Star, because in Latin canopus means DOG. (That's where the Canary Islands get their name as the island was overun with dogs when discovered) Can...
