Re: NetJets Europe Northolt
When I was serving there in the RAF, 1977-8, there was a 'spotters enclosure' accessed from West End Road. I had clearance to photograph the aircraft on the south side pan where I worked in VAS - as long as the pilot said ok

Great shots Andy. In the photo of the Jetstream, Dominie and Devon (almost certainly 207 Squadron) there is of course a Pembroke (60 Squadron) and a HS748 (207 squadron)

Re: photo competitions reminder (and rules 13 reminder)
Excuse my ignorance, call it old age or whatever but rule 13 seems to say that if I take a photo which I think will make a suitable entry for POTM I have to post it somewhere before I can use it as an entry. Question is where - a new thread in Current Civilian or am I missing something. I don't get ...

Nice photos. I've only been there once back in 2016 when I had a tour airside including the Boultbee (now Spitfires.com) hangar. I'd love to go back but it's 3 hour drive there - and the trip back took 5 hours!

Re: SPOTM July 2022 - Your favourite helicopter photo (bonus for a Sikorsky!)
Have to say I'm struggling even with this very open helicopter category. However as I have only a few civil photos a favourite is straightforward and thrown in here just to boost the numbers as the quality is poor. French registered SA321 Super Frelons at Kai Tak on route to PRC in 1976. https://liv...

Re: photo competitions - your thoughts and feedback please
I've noticed a decline in entries too. maybe it's because people are not out and about as much and possibly not capturing the subject well that they want, or that is needed for SPOTM. I'm one of those that doesn't have a decent camera, could borrow my daughter's but then again I don't go out much th...

I'll throw this in (changed). Concorde demonstrator landing at Kai Tak, definitely half and half as main gear on runway but nose AND tail in the air
