Re: The Endless River, well worth the wait!

You have to remember that this album is actually taken from old archives which have been carefully rearranged and approved by band members like Roger Waters and if you listen carefully, some of the tracks have been arranged from previous albums like The Division Bell. Personally I don't think it's n...

BMW Sat Nav idrive

Does anyone know if it is possible to enter a destination by punching in co-ordiates on a BMW idrive. It's doing my head in. One should be able to do it but it's beaten me?

Re: Plane Spotting at Heathrow Airport

Hi Guys, I've been thinking about going to The Thistle Park Hotel where there is a balcony apparently which has been used for spotting. The guide says to ask reception for permission as to whether one can use it free of charge. Does anyone have up to date information that this is correct. Just to sa...

Plane Spotting at Heathrow Airport

Hi there,
Can someone advise me where is the best place for watching aircraft with a radio and binoculars and camera without being asked what I am doing there. There's lots of blog on the net but I'm still uncertain.
I would prefer to go by tube to Heathrow but maybe find somewhere with a car.

Re: Stansted 727 and other tasty aircraft

Great pictures Nick,
I was surprised and pleased to see a 727 as the first shot. Brought back some sentimental warm memories.

Hello Robert,
I didn't know that. I presume you meant SwissAir?
I have a boxer. I suppose that would be classed as a big dog.

Re: can you work it out?

Guys, If you love Pink Floyd then Aussi PF is an absolute must. Iv'e been back stage and met them all. Really nice people. On one show they had the original female lead vocalist which sang on Dark Side Of The Moon. On the last tour in London they put up a photo of AC/DC in action being Aussi and a h...

Re: can you work it out?

Mike, The very man except I meant Waters. By the way if you like Pink Floyd there is a band called Aussi Pink Floyd who are considered by Roger Waters to be the best cover band in the World. Iv'e seen them 3 times and they are fantastic. If you close your eyes at a concert youv'e got Pink Floyd. Rog...

Re: can you work it out?

This picture is definately 2015. The tell-tale sign is the guy on the right just left of the two people standing is holding up a modern camera and it definately not Roger Walters either ;)

Re: The Newbie Forum - an introduction.

Mike,
Thanks again. I've already established a few aircraft coming my way this afternoon as it was nice and sunny and the cloud was quite high.
My next task is get the frequency they are using as they leave the hold and pass over my house.

Re: The Newbie Forum - an introduction.

Hi, My name is Phil and I have only just realised that this is the way to formally introduce myself. I'm so glad that I have found a website that is for aircraft enthusiasts such as myself. I let the hobby dwindle back in 1979 and have always been interested in aviation, so I have just bought myself...

Re: The Newbie Forum - an introduction.

Hi, My name is Phil and I used to be an avid aircraft spotter and have now refreshed my interest, bought myself an airband receiver. I live in Loughton Essex and right over my garden is a large area of sky where I see a lot of air traffic. Some of it is heading at high altltude heading West which I ...
