Re: Shuttleworth flying calendar for 2018

From Moth Rallies on Facebook:

"The Gathering of Moths at Old Warden next year has been moved to August 12 from July because of other events occurring around the same time. The Charity Flying Weekend is still on June 23/24. Don't expect any updates until the New Year."

Airlander 10 incident 18/11/17

At around 9:30am today, for reasons as yet unknown, G-PHRG "Martha Gwyn" Airlander 10 broke free of the mooring mast and escaped into the adjacent field. Fire engines could be seen at the front of the sheds... https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4541/24630686928_eb7d531876_o_d.jpg ...and the Airlander in...

Airlander 10 Test Flight 6 - 17/11/17

G-PHRG "Martha Gwyn" Airlander 10 flew her sixth test flight this afternoon, having been testing on the ground at Cardington airfield over the last couple of weeks after coming back out of Shed One where she received some upgrades. It was a short flight of just a few circuits and bumps. Apologies fo...

Excellent list. Some of those will be a challenge for me to find something suitable, and de Havilland will be a challenge for me to pick one!

British Antarctic Survey Twotter passed overhead at 2,500 feet whilst I was playing in the park in Bedford with my daughter on 29th July this year:

And here's the rest of the action from my visit. Spotted the Tiger Moth and Jodel arriving into the circuit together as I was driving through the village and managed to beat them to the airfield. Super shiny flying Ryan @ Old Warden 03/11/17

A lovely day so another lunch time visit. Whilst I was there the Ryan was pulled out of the hangar and as I hadn't seen it flying before (except from a distance as it flew over Bedford once) I had to put off my return to work until it was airborne and ended up having a 2-hour lunch hour! There was a...

Old Warden 01/11/17

Popped down on Wednesday lunchtime, not expecting much to be happening as the weather wasn't great. Arrived just as the R44 was coming in and just managed to park and jump out of the car with my camera just before it landed. Re: Shuttleworth flying calendar for 2018

I only made it to Fly Navy this year (well, the Moth Gathering too, but that's not a Shuttleworth event). Hope to make it to a couple of shows next year. If the RNHF have got a working Swordfish by then I'll try to do Fly Navy again, otherwise I'll probably go to a couple of different ones for a bit...

Great set of some unusual shapes. Love the big, radial Cessna.
