Looking for Lockheed Jetstar detail pics
Hello all: I'm planning to buy an Airmodels 1/72 Lockheed Jetstar kit in the near future. I know it's quite a spartan vac form kit, so I need some pics of certain details so I can scratchbuild or raid the spares box for appropriate items. I'm particularly interested in deatail pics of the landing ge...

Re: Looking for Edgely Optica prototype pics
Thanks a lot Reggie!
I'm going for a few days holiday and then I'll send an email out their way and see what happens.

Looking for Edgely Optica prototype pics
Hello all: I'm gathering photos together in preparation to build a model of the Edgely Optica prototype G-BGMW. The kit I have has the basics, but is a bit lacking in finer detail. While I have found enough photos to get the cockpit generally right, I have had very little luck finding clear pictures...

737 at Ostrava 24.09.2011
Here's some shots of a 737 that did a bit of flying around just ahead of the opening of the NATO Day show at Ostrava yesterday. It did a great low pass witha Czech air force gripen, but my pic of that didn't turn out at all. :grr: I appoligise for the low quality, but my camera is a small automatic ...

Red Bull hagar at Salzburg
Hello all: I hope I'm putting this in the right spot. These are from a visit to Red Bull's hangar in Salzburg last June. It's not exactly a museum as none of the many former military aircraft on site are properly restored to their service schemes. Eventually I opted to put these in the civil side of...

Caslav Open Day, Czech Republic, 28.05.2011
Those of you who also frequent the military side of these boards probably noticed several posts I made on the open day of the Czech air base at Caslav yesterday. Here are some views of the "civvie" side of the event: This is an Ae 207 Ibis, a joint project between Aero of the czech Republic and AIDC...

Re: Czech Museum Pieces
Thanks for the comments Twinpin. The Czech Republic has been home for me for the past seven years, so I won't be leaving soon. I don't have much reason to go up into the Ostrava region except at the end of September every year when they have a big military show at Mosnov airport. In the last year or...

Re: Delightful DeHavilland
Hi Mike:
Through airliners.net, I found the aircraft is construction number 6879.
I found one photo of it there from 1998 where it was stated to be G-AMAI at the time.

Re: Some Czech GA types
Hi Stephen:
Thanks for the comments.
There was an AN-2 at Turany today. Unfortunately it was across the field and a bit too far away for my camera. I tried to find a way to get closer to it, but the airport police shoed me away. At least they were polite about it.
Thanks for the comments.

Thanks, Reggie:
I also quite like the lines of the 45 and the 145 that was developed from it. I have a bit of preferance for the 145 on account of its reduced canopy framing though.

Some Czech GA types
Here's a few Czech GA types seen at various locations in the Czech Republic over the past few years: We'll start off with pics from today, taken at Brno's Turany airport: This Zlin 142 was sitting nicely close to the fence for me: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e59/cancze/Turany%20spotting/DSCF57...

Czech Museum Pieces
Hello everyone! This is my first post on the civilian side here; though I have been on the military side of the site for a while now. Here are some vintage civil machines in Czech air museums: Tupolev Tu-104 at the Kbely museum in Prague: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e59/cancze/Kbely%20air%20mu...
