Most of the time they will be landing and taking off on 27 (Motorway end). I find it the best as you have the most felxibility for photos..... eg. See them taxi down and line up from the mound, get approach shots from the picnic area at the bottom of 27, or see them go straight over your head from t...

You are a star! Thankyou for all the very interesting information. I certainly remember seeing those British Midland Proppellor aircraft making a tonne of noise from the balcony. I was quite young back then but the views were great and there was nothing in the way of getting a good view of the airpo...

One thing that got me hooked on civil aviation was when I was taken to the balcony overlooking the apron at EMA in the 1980's.
I was young and remember the old BMI planes and would love to see any photos you may have taken from the balcony.
