Mystery Beech 18 at Duxford

Took this picture at Duxford, back in August 1984. US Army colours, with 0-751 the only marking. I have no idea of the civil id. I thought it might be one of Jeff Hawkes' G-BKGL, G-BKGM, G-BKRN but my research has found no mention. Any ideas anyone ? Thanks, Pete. https://c7.staticflickr.com/6/5676/...

A few from Biggin. Could be better - taken through chain fence, and still a heat haze at this time of year. NASA B747 & Shuttle at Heathrow

Back in 1983, NASA sent it's B747, complete with Shuttle to the Paris air Show. Either before or after,it did a flypast on the northern runway at Heathrow. If my memory is right, it did some other flypasts, and landed at Stansted ? Anyone else got memories or pictures ? Pete. https://c4.staticflickr...

Re: Conroy CL-44-O Bournemouth !

A couple of scans from me. N447T Transmeridian went to British Cargo AL. I do not know if it appeared with those colours. It then became EI-BND with Heavylift Cargo, followed by Buffalo Airways. Moving on, it became 4K-GUP with Azerbaijan, then passed to First International AL as 9G-LCA. I believe i...

Beech 18 Duxford

Scanning some old slides, I have a Beech 18 in US Army colours marked 0-751 taken at Duxford in August 1984.
Can anyone confirm it's civil reg ? probably one of G-BKGL, G-BKGM, G-BKRN.
Thanks
Pete

Update - could it be N96240, used by Jeff Hawke of Visionair for various film work ?

Nice to see, thanks Oz, looks like you still enjoyed a good day. The weather forecast had put me off going. Used to be able to see some of those University frames when the PFA Rally was held there. The Lightning looks great. Back in 1994 they were also working on G-TMKI a Hunting Provost and G-TORE ...

Re: G-HFIX later N730MJ

Unfortunately, this is one of those Spitfires made from various bits.
G-HFIX is most commonly quoted as CBAF7243, but contains bits of G-BLAS which is c/n CBAF78883

According to Scramble report http://www.scramble.nl/?option=com_show ... GB&id=1374

Mirage reg was 327. My MachIII directory gives c/n 239 for this.

That's a good log. It's well worth a visit.
It can get repetitive if visited regular, but is exciting to get up close to action.
Thanks

Re: Biggin Hill 28-9-16

Yes (apart from Italian) taken through the mesh. Learjet is on the runway. The rest are on taxiways approaching the Signature / Rizon Hangars. These hangars are to the right of the Lookout Café. Biggin has been bad for viewing for several years. At least now, they have provided something. It deserve...

Re: Lookout cafe at BQH

The Lookout Café is fine for parking, food and toilets. Large windows inside, picnic area outside. Fine for general view across field. Fence, with large mesh. Can take ground photos through this if careful and crop where necessary. Have not seen ladders used. Aerial shots fine, standing back. Normal...

Old Aeroflot scheme

Going through some old photos, came across this Aeroflot scheme which I had forgotten. Picture must have been taken 1993. F-OGQS delivered in Dec 1992 and crashed 23 March 1994. I do not recall whether the other A310's at the time were painted similar or if this was unique. I think it looks quite go...
