The sign on the door says that the revised opening date is 15 July.
I wonder whether there is any chance they will have an arrivals board?

The perfect afternoon?
9 holes of golf on a deserted course, with wall to wall sunshine and a Spitfire flypast. That was my afternoon today.

Canon v Nikon
No, not the old debate about which is the better, but rather a random thought that whereas Boeing and Airbus pretty much have the airliner market sown up, so Canon and Nikon dominate the DSLR market.
So, is Canon the Boeing or the Airbus of the aviation world, and is Nikon automatically the other?

Did he really grease her onto the runway, or have you 'photoshopped' out the tyre smoke? In any case, I like my favourite is that second picture.

Re: Has summer finally arrived? LHR 21 May
The 2 smaller images are heavily cropped, and were taken in RAW initially.
They appeared on Flickr with those resolution rates - perhaps I should play further with the interaction of Nikon Picture Project, PhotoScape and Flickr.
Thanks for the comments.

Nothing special among these, but it was a treat to sit in sunshine and catch some arrivals in good light, including the BA B777, one of 3 BA aborted landings I saw yesterday. https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7715/17938167546_d08370628b_o.jpg LHR 21 May1_2 by P Stevens , on Flickr https://c4.staticflick...

Worse than awful - positively ugly! But then again they say that any publicity is good publicity, so perhaps it is a successful scheme?

Re: RAW or JPEG?
I have cast my vote, based upon the detail in the main undercarriage. My Nikon D80 and D50 are set to RAW+JPEG, while my wife's D3000 is set to JPEG fine. In my case this is mainly from having been 'volunteered by my wife to take wedding photos for her friend's 2 daughters, when I want as much detai...

Re: Dartford crossing works w/e 28-11-14
We were promised that it would be free to cross once the bridge had been paid for. Now we are told that once it had been paid for, the charge became a congestion charge - and what causes the congestion - why the payment booths of course. That's politicians for you!
