Re: Tokyo Narita - November 2014

Nothing wrong with them all being the same angle, especially with such an exotic selection!

The Herald looks great in that livery. The Wessex is sublime.

Re: Denham 1973, scanned slides

Another charming look back at how things were 40+ years ago. Back when it was economically reasonable to operate a light twin! It's lovely to see all those Twin Commanches and various Cessna twins in your posts. Like Mike, I'm a big fan of Pups - great aircraft and a type I had my first ever flight ...

Great shots Andy, the airfield is nice and sharp with good exposure. I'd love to have had a flightdeck ride on a Viscount! Fortunately I managed to photograph some in the 1980s before they were retired (BMA, BAF etc.)

A great selection Andy, greatly enhanced by your commentary on the then-and-now comparisons of the locations.

I look forward to seeing some goshawk photos!

Re: Photos from yesteryear...

Lovely Trijets! And a nice Tu-134 too. They're definitely all Gatwick, except for the Tu-134. I'm 99% certain it's Heathrow, shot from the central area looking south across 28L/10R. The hills in the background look right, but without the Pan Am building, Fields or similar in the picture it's hard to...

The first shot is fantastic, love the light. The Fokker 70 is a photogenic aircraft too, especially in an interesting one like that KLM livery.

A nice crisp shot, and with the a/c in a position all too difficult to shoot at Heathrow (just before touchdown).

Great selection! I love the Southwest retrojet, the two possibly secret-squirrel 737s with the wide red cheatline, and naturally enough for me, the Metro freighter :)

The third shot is pretty good Andy, so you've got one of the Bahrain in the bag now.

Thanks for the information on the mound, sad to hear that's no more. I'm just about to pore over some OS maps to see where the new spot you recommend is exactly.
