Serial request 1/7/14 (Yellow rig helicopter)

Hi guys Looking for help, had a great day at Humberside watching the comings and goings but it was one of those days. Made two visits, one AM and one PM, on the first visit just missed a 100Sqd Hawk blow through and there was an Orange/Yellow S-76 or similar with a light grey serial which was oblite...

Re: What a waste

How about this to pull the punters in Hull/Grimsby airport sounds like a thing of beauty!! Fact is if demand was there the airlines would be too, no catchment area and very little money in the area means that this is the situation. I think its good that the airport is there bringing jobs to the area...

Re: What a waste

Surely the point of Humberside (similar too Aberdeen and Norwich) is that they are only really there still, as they service the oil industry. As you say the small cachement area for the airport would make it unattractive to airlines. As with any spotting trip its a trade off between distance able to...

Re: First ever flight

Am guessing no-one has a shot hence the "no replies" buddy. But if you just want replies, I dont have a shot of said flight, sorry fella. An idea next time you fly is maybe to post before you fly as regulars may not be interested in an everyday Lufthansa flight etc but if they knew you wanted a shot...

Re: When is a half not a equal half

One more time, anytime when half is used and the object isnt divided exactly by two it is an improper use of the word and you should be using the word parts. Something divided into two parts is not always in two halves. Just because there is a corruption, of the use of a term, does not mean this the...

Re: When is a half not a equal half

Its not like man on the moon, that is up for discussion and am a big believer in only believe what you are seeing. But one day a mathematician split something into two equal parts and that process is half. the 1/2 number that represents half means 1 divided by two. If you divide 4 by 2 it will alway...

Re: When is a half not a equal half

Also, last one, squares and triangles are not the same Square will always have 4 equal sides and 4 ninety degree corners Triangles can be equilateral, isoceles or scalene My point was anything off square is not a square, there is no such thing as an off triangle as anything with three sides is alway...

Also am not going into the who/what and where of adding fractions, when you are struggling to grasp half as a fraction but the following should help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerator" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics" onclick="window.open(th...

Re: When is a half not a equal half

So you start a topic asking for someone to settle an argument. Then when someone explains the mathematical definition of a mathematical term you are still not happy. If a half isnt half its not a half (exactly like a square) not my OPINION, FACT. But I am not gonna bang my head against a brick wall,...

Re: When is a half not a equal half

Yeah but saying "your half is bigger than mine" is usually used to mean "you are saying this is split equally between us (or in half) yet "your half" is bigger than mine". Similar to saying "that square looks crooked" if its crooked its not a square. Half written as a number is 1 over 2 for a reason...

Re: When is a half not a equal half

In maths half is 1 divided by 2 so therefore equal parts, as 1/2 is also equal to 2/4, 4/8, 6/12s . Sorry.

Re: Rallye Repaint at Newark Air Museum

G-INFO, the CAA database, has 72 members of the Rallye family listed.

And Sturgate has a MS894 G-CCZA which is usually outside when I go past. East Midlands has G-BBED based according to LAASI at least till last January.
