Cracking shots Paul. I'm not going to say despite the weather, because you've used it to your advantage.

An interesting selection, and great you managed to catch the Scoot. Looks like an excellent viewing deck - with aircraft parking and taxiing nearby, and the runway not too far away either.

Interesting selection of aircraft, enhanced by the clear view of the airfield and the pleasant background.

Re: Everts Air Cargo DC-6 at Anchorage IA

What a sight and sound in 2018. I remember enjoying the Air Atlantique examples when they used to fly freight around the country (and at the occasional airshow). Looking forward to the rest of your shots from Anchorage.

Re: external hard drive failure

I only have one connected at a time Nick except when doing the backup, what l meant was go for a smaller ext HD and get a new one every year say so that if l get a failure l don't use as much. What I wrote still applies: with multiple hard drives you will increase the chance of one failing, and it'...

Re: external hard drive failure

It sounds very much as though there is a mechanical failure within the hard drive. Unplug it now to limit any further damage. Most (if not all) the data can often be recovered by a specialist company (you need a clean room, specialist hardware and software to do so). This costs in the order of sever...

I do recognise some regulars in that excellent selection of shots; not least SE-XIP which I have a photo of, in the same scheme, from the 1990 PFA Rally at Cranfield!

Highlight is of course the LOT 737, fabulous. Interesting shots from Frankfurt too, especially the retrojets.

Re: Stansted 01-09-2018

Good to see you again Andy! Great shots, with a good selection of angles. Highlight of the day was of course the Saudi 777, especially as it taxied so close to us, rather than using taxiway H.

Re: Bit of Aussie comes to Norfolk

KLM must have an excellent reputation if an Australian airline is willing to send its a/c around to the other side of the planet for maintenance! I guess with dwindling numbers of the type, there aren't that many MROs that can handle them now.

Re: Heathrow 27L

Great shots Paul. Reminds me I'm overdue a visit for some of the newer airline/type combinations, e.g. Iran Air A330s.
