G-CELS Boeing 737-300
Saw this at Norwich this week doing engine runs and being towed round the airfield in Jet2 colours but no corporate markings. Still shown on G-INFO as being owned by Jet2 parent company and not withdrawn or with impending sale. Have read elsewhere however that it has been sold to KLM Engineering as ...

Re: Star Bows Out of Norwich 9G-SBE
Nice shots. Spent a few days at the Holiday Inn at the airport this week with SWMBO. Managed to sneak an odd half hour at the fence late afternoons. I managed to get the fancy 146 and the air ambulance flight (Lion King 2 Alpha Mike Bravo callsign heard so waited to see what it was). Bit overlensed ...

Super Pumas now in residence
Following the withdrawal from service of the Bond/Babcock fleet of AS332/EC225 Super Pumas there are now 10 of them in residence in Hangar 9. All stored minus rotors. Were all brought down from Aberdeen by road.

Just for the record the Super Pumas have been roaded down to Humberside for storage. We now have 10 off them tucked up in Hangar 9.

Re: S.A.R. Scrambles ???
If the aircraft's callsign was Coastguard 912 then no rush implied and standard airport departure procedures apply - even for a training exercise. On the other hand if a callsign of Rescue 912 (meaning it's the real thing) was used then a fast departure would have been observed with the rest of us a...

Re: S-92 road arrivals into Aberdeen
Your low loaders outbound with Super Pumas almost certainly headed our way to Humberside (EGNJ). We now have 7 of them in the Babcock MCS hangar. Two black/yellow, two red/white and three blue/white.

Another nice set of pics Phil. Are the elevated ones taken form your office or is there a public viewing area? Also noticed some of the museum aircraft are still there. Thought the Canberra and Devon at least would be heading back to Coventry.

Re: London City over the New Year
Great set of shots, well done and thanks for posting. The ramp area is much expanded since I flew in and out of there from Humberside on a short-lived service from Humberside using Dornier 228's. On the return flight was the only passenger so sat on the floor between/behind the pilots and chatted wi...

Thanks for posting. Good to see the C150 'EP looking nice, got many hours on her and sister ship G-HIVE in my log book when learning to fly at Humberside.

NOTAM today (3/11) for a runway out of service due to a B747 push back and engine start. Is this the aircraft involved?

Re: can we have more comments on photos please?
Just another comment about "comments" which may be slightly off the intent of this thread. There are some posters on here and FC who when asking for "C & C" really only want sycophantic "great pic" type comments. Some time back I had the temerity to say that a pic taken by a regular poster was, in m...

Re: can we have more comments on photos please?
I have often thought about putting forward a response to this so here goes. I expect that like me many members view each and every posting. If we all commented, and many would be of the order of "well done, great pics, thanks for posting", the system would get clogged up very easily. On one of my lo...

Re: Canon 20D with Tamron AF 70-300mm
I have a 20D which was given to me by a friend who bought himself a pair of 50D's. It's a very robust camera but uses older technology. It's always in the bag I take flying with me to shoot aircraft on the ground wherever we get to. Good pics but think it's due for a service, clean and re-calibratio...

Super looking aircraft. It called into Humberside en route to Aberdeen. We got a heads-up from the based NHV guys that it was due in so delayed our trip down to Conington in the PA38 to grab some shots of it. Thanks for posting.

Re: British Airways 'push back' @ Cambridge Today !
Thanks Keith for some super shots which explain the NOTAMs for the day. Presumably the runway doesnt have sufficient width (or turning circles) or load capacity for these large aircraft to turn under their own power.

Re: Jetstreams anyone?
Great thread this for me. My flying club is right next to the Eastern Airways Jetstream maintenance hangar at Humberside Airport so over the years have seen a few Jetstreams (31 & 41) pass through. Here is my starter for 10. http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i467/350biker/emDSCF5897_zps8f8jzctl.jp...
