Just a few opportune shots taken whilst on a family holiday. Luton: 01/03/20 General ramp view through the window at Luton. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49648443588_476e63ca75_b.jpg LY-COB Airbus A320-232. This GetJet Airlines A320 stood in for the TUI 738 we should've had. Seems to have quit...
I'll kick things off with G-BPCL - 1977 Scottish Aviation Bulldog still in its original livery as Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force HKG-6 at Old Warden on 2nd August 2015 for Shuttleworth Wings and Wheels.
I think the only airliners I photographed last year were the Dakotas at the Shuttleworth Flying Festival on 2nd June, so here's N103NA "Flabob Express" tail up as it departs as the first of seven Dakotas in the stream take off.
I'll go with one from Luton too. G-EZBV on 11th February 2012. I seem to remember the temperature being -8°C on this morning. People all over Facebook were moaning about the cold and staying in and I put on my snowboarding gear and went to photograph aeroplanes! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/4...
Managed to dig out something to replace the Monarch, as I've posted that on here before. G-TCBB Boeing 757-236 at Grenoble on 10th March 2012, waiting to take me home from snowboarding at Les Deux Alpes.
I'll go with G-DRAM at Shuttleworth Race Day on 6th October for now. Might change it if and when I finish editing my photos from the day. Doubt I'll be photographing much else this month.[
The weather was far from ideal, but thankfully the rain stopped early in the morning. The wind gradually increased through the day and put paid to several of the scheduled display items. However, as usual, Shuttleworth still managed to put on a good show. Some non-display aircraft arriving to start ...
I walked up Snowdon last year and have only just got round to editing the photos. We went up via the Rhyd Ddu path, and close to the beginning of the walk we found this helicopter. It was up and down all day with underslung loads of slate. G-HITI 2016 Airbus Helicopters AS350B3 Ecureuil https://live...
Nice shot although I'm not sure of the colour scheme, I think it looks a bit dated. Martin I think it's right that it has a dated colour scheme as it's a Jet Ranger. They've been around for years. I remember when I was a kid every helicopter you'd see was a Jet Ranger. They seem pretty rare nowaday...
I'll go with something a little different this month. People in the basket of G-VBAO Cameron A-400 over Bedford on 14/09/19 with the burner on, taken from my driveway! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48800973972_8d78543ce6_z.jpg original post:https://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.ph...
Sometimes you don't have to go looking for aircraft, they come to you! I was sitting in the living room on a Saturday morning when my daughter said "I can see a hot air balloon". Expecting to see it floating somewhere in the distance I looked out and was rather taken aback that it almost filled up t...
I'll go with the Comet returning to Old Warden on 25/08/19 with the Bedfordshire countryside in the background, after displaying at Little Gransden. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48647109668_8ee4c5cec0_o.jpg originally posted here: https://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=169&t...
Had to go for a drive on Sunday to get the baby to sleep, so what better destination. Wasn't particularly busy, but I got there just in time to see Dodge Bailey bringing the Comet back from displaying at Little Gransden and giving us a couple of nice flypasts before landing. Quite a lot of heat haze...
