Smoking Permitted

From Andy's suggestion in thread on the Russian invasion of Heathrow, here's a few cubs to start off with. I think was some time in late 2003.Typically clean An-12. Re: Southend 1998-99, scanned negatives

Nice selection, Andy.

The Hold Trade Air is 5N-HTC, ex EI-ANE of Aer Lingus. They acquired all four EIN 1-11s in 1991, but sadly they didn't operate them for long.

To be pedantic the "Nigerian IL-76s" were actually Algerian Air Force.

Re: Fuji Dream

Cheers for the comments lads. Nick, just read the report on the delay in the MRJ program - apparently they need to strengthen the wings and undercarriage. Not an easy task without significant weight penalties. It's an attractive aircraft but can't help feeling that they are about 5 years too late to...

Fuji Dream

Fuji Dream Airlines are a small domestic carrier in Japan with a fleet of 9 Emb-170/175s. Thankfully they have decided to buck the trend and not employ Dulux gloss white as their house livery and instead all are painted in various garish colours. All shots taken at one of their hubs - Nagoya Komaki ...

Re: China Southern B777 Stansted 27-6-2015

I'm not a fan of the "aircraft within a mm of the edge" crop style that some seem to love, but I think the cropping works well here, especially the first shot, Andy, as it brings the subject up a little in the frame.

Agree, it would be nice to see their 787 scheme on a 777F.

Re: Dublin or is it Addis Ababa?

Cheers Andy,

More than pleased with the ET 737, it was due at 09:00 but then got pushed back to midday.

The ET heavies are all regular so it's making Dublin to place to catch ET's in Europe.

Dublin or is it Addis Ababa?

With good weather forecast I decided that yesterday was a good opportunity to make the most of the summer morning light. An Early start, out the door by 05:00 in order to be in position for the departures of the three scheduled Ethiopians - two are tech stops, while the third is a new Addis-Dublin-L...

Great selection, Air Calm and Scoot are particularly nice.

Must say I preferred the viewing spots at the threshold compared to the viewing terraces.
