Biggin Hill Early 1970's onward

Folks today, mainly go to Biggin for biz-jet activity. Back in the 1970’s early 1980’s there was a large number of Flying clubs and based lights, probably 150+. There was the occasional foreign reg visitor ( mostly at the Air Fairs) and biz jets rarely seen. There was freedom to roam, if you behaved...

Re: Luton Airport - my early years

My first ever logging visit was to Heathrow, Queens Roof Gardens on 17th August 1971.
I had probably seen many rare aircraft over house going into there as a small child.
I have a vague memory, not verified, of seeing an aircraft sign writing over London.
Could that have happened?

Re: Viscount Heaven

Some good memories there. Nice to see Gambia, Hot-Air and Baltic.
Between 1988 - 1990 there was a constant bit of leasing between them.

Flying, I loved the large oval passenger windows for view compared to today.
thanks

BMA SD330 and F-27.

East Midlands - in the days when airports had viewing decks or areas.
I had actually flown on this from Heathrow.
