Re: Heathrow 10-Oct-18

Thanks everyone.
Some of the angles are a bit underbelly, but I think a bit different with the ones where undercarriage not fully closed up.

Re: Kelowna British Columbia 25-9-2018 , drive by pics from a coach

Still nice to see, Andy.
I had a brief look at Kelowna back in 2007. Looks a bit busier now.
Think I will post a few more Canadian Ramblings in the winter.
Looking forward to the rest of your travels.

Nice to see some pics from Scotland.
Have not been to Glasgow since 1997.... I am sure I would not recognise the changes since then.

Re: Victoria BC floatplanes, 27th & 28th September

Lovely pictures. Victoria and Vancouver are nice settings, and you can get close to the action. Glad you had a good time. Where else did you get to visit ? I have done the one seaplane trip Victoria to Coal Harbour. I was expecting it to be a bumpy landing on water, but it was gentler than most of t...

Re: Zurich Nostalgia - Part 2

Nice to see. My first visit to Zurich was early 90's. The viewing area and car parks gave a good view of most things. I remember loads of Swiss and Tyrolean parked just left of the viewing area, and the two DC3 Air Classic. The light a/c park at far end had more them days too. Now the newest termina...

Re: Exclusive Cup at Longleat - Saturday

Super pictures, looks a really good event.
Exclusive is right - I never saw any advertising for this - yet Ashton always appears in various enthusiast calendar of events.
Must keep an eye for it next year.
Thanks for posting.

Re: LAA Rally Sywell 1-Sep-18

Thanks everyone. I wonder how far I have walked, up and down the lines of a/c over the years. It's nice to see latest kit builds, but I still favour the older types. I never got around to attending until 1990 onwards. Apart from Cranfield and Sywell, I recall, there have been rally's at Kemble and W...

LAA Rally Sywell 1-Sep-18

Fine weather, Saturday, for the annual LAA Rally. Plenty of homebuilt kits eg Vans, Europa etc and factory types Auster, Piper Cub, Luscombe etc. Picture heavy - my personal pick of the more interesting aircraft. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1881/30603005838_60c34bec49_b.jpg Tipsy Trainer G-AISA S...

A catch up on latest at Kemble. Funny, how some frames languish for ages, whilst others quickly go. Love the pictures, the colour scheme and the rarity.

For me, a DC3 with turbos does not look right. Seems out of character. Much prefer old props !

DH106 Comet Dan-Air at Gatwick. About the early 80's.

Used to sit on the wooden fence at the side of the A23 between the terminal and the Beehive. Memories.
