Re: Gatwick in the 90s

Always like a bit of nostalgia, airlines long gone.
Recognised all but the B737 Air Atlanta lease to Aviareps.
The backgrounds contain interest too, a Saudi B727, Air Ops Tristar, etc.
Thanks Mark,

Pete.

Very nice. A few unusual ones. The Arkia is quite an eye catching scheme.

Great stuff, Nick.
Makes me realise how much clutter there is in my static pics (not posted), compared to the arrival / departure days.

Re: Concorde in Hong Kong 1976

Interesting memories - always nice to see old photos. Thanks Ian. Re the old Air France livery- F-WTSA went into Heathrow in October 1974. Me and my mate used to phone each other if anything interesting was going into LHR. The conversation went.... " Did you see the Air France Concorde ?" " No, but ...

Re: G-MGPS Leonardo AW169 in Bedford, 13/07/2019

Done a bit of digging.
I wonder if it is actually night vision equipment to enable single pilot operation.
Noticed the same mounting on pictures of G-KSST, the Aw169 of Kent Ambulance.

Re: G-MGPS Leonardo AW169 in Bedford, 13/07/2019

That's a nice catch.

Any ideas, anyone, on the under nose torrent mounting ?
Trying to work out if it is camera / spotlight / night vision etc. I could understand those being on a police H/C, but interested what it is on a medical ship.
Cheers, Pete.

Nice to see some air to air pictures. Was your lucky day !
Always liked the SF-260, so streamlined. The military versions certainly look the part as a ' fighter'.

What did you go up in ?

Air Britain Turweston 22-6-19

As others have reported elsewhere, a very nice day, and only £5 entry. The weather was lovely. Attendance, both by air and car was up compared to the last few years at North Weald. The weather obviously helped, but maybe a more central location has helped AB. A good opportunity to say a big Thank Yo...

Booker Aeroexpo 15-6-19

Aeroexpo 2019 at Booker (Wycombe Air Park) was fairly similar to last few times with about 50 aircraft in exhibition area. Typically, Cessna, Cirrus, Piper, Robinson, Tecnam, Diamond etc. Saturday was overcast, with rain after midday. Aprox 60 - 70 visiting aircraft. For me, the two Swiss were most ...

It's one thing to know there are plenty of frames for storage / scrap, but that last picture brings it home.
Must have been exciting, yet frustrating not getting the flight.
Thanks for posting.
