Re: SEN/EGMC 2014 pics

Another interesting and varied selection. I love the Estonian scheme and you've captured it perfectly. Nice to see a SF340 freighter shot too. I don't think much of the matt black scheme on the Phenom though - as with cars with the same scheme I think they look as though they just need a good T-Cut!

It may be an uninspiring scheme on the Nordic Global, but the light you've caught it in makes up for it.

I'm surprised they said that to you - as you may know, there's a "'plane watch" scheme at LGW operated by the local police.

Looks like the high humidity did you a big favour before the fog set back in - as Paul so eloquently put it, "nice fluff shots"!

Did you get to fly the checkerboard approach?! I guess the GA visual circuit was tighter.

Great shots of a rare a/c, well done.

Re: by the light of the silvery moon... PA.28-R, G-BBZR

Sounds like you have some ND filters to play with next time then! The only shot I have with a moon in is from one of the Northolt Nightshoots. The exposure seems reasonable for getting some detail on the moon's surface, but it was behind a layer of thin cloud so is fuzzy. However, that gives me an i...

Re: by the light of the silvery moon... PA.28-R, G-BBZR

Great idea and well executed! I've photographed the moon on its own and had to stop down surprisingly far to avoid over-exposing it, so I can imagine it would make the a/c silhouettes when you tried it. Yes a graduated neutral density filter would work, but you'd have to experiment with various dens...

A great selection as usual Phil. You make perfect use of that spot at Lulsgate that enables you to take action shots with a nice rural backdrop.

Re: Newcastle Airport 02/10/14

Great shots, especially the way the angle of the sun and slow shutter speeds have really caught the prop blur well (and you've kept them sharp).
