Re: And a few from Aberdeen

That's a great selection of interesting a/c, and some nice angles too. Nice to see a Falcon 50 and an Astra these days, and a shed too!

Fantastic. As light a/c go, that must sound wonderful.

Re: Luton 2004

Thanks for the kind words.

Mike yes, having the different photo sections merged certainly makes posting easier, and it's nice to have one post giving a full picture of everything that was around on a given day.

Re: Duxford D-Day show 24th / 25th May

It's ok, Grange Road is open as usual for pedestrians and cyclists. It appears that IWM have stationed security guards at the barriers to hand out leaflets stating what the press release stated, requesting people not to go into the fields.

The Congo 727 is fabulous! I'm so glad there's still some exec 727s around. Nicely photographed too.

Re: Heathrow 13-16/3-From a different Angle

Great shots, and excellent work finding the spot. The image quality is impressive given the haze, a cropped sensor body and a 1.4 TC - just shows the quality of a Canon L series prime.

I'm pretty new here so have not commented until now. But as you're looking for comments, here are mine: I think on balance merging Airliners & Cargo, Biz Jets & Props etc. into one Current Civilian forum is a good move - it simplifies posting if you've been somewhere like Luton where there's a good ...

Re: My Eyes.......

You might be right in it being a way of attracting attention to the brand. I think it's gross though! I rather liked the previous livery. Perhaps they should do a retrojet in 1980s Jersey European orange and black colours :)

Re: Stansted 18-5-2014 (evening) ABX B767

Thanks Nick - Sunday 22nd June should be a good evening to try - just after the longest day of the year, will note it on my schedule as a 'to do' and hope for sunny weather I think I'll add it to the calendar too, so might see you there! I'm doing something similar on Saturday 14th - going to Heath...

Bad luck with the light Andy, but I'd be pleased with any shots whatsoever of it, for the reasons you state!

Thanks for the welcome chaps :thumb: Great that you're volunteering here Andy.

Amazing, and sad, how few 747s there are at Heathrow these days - there would be hardly any at all without BA and Virgin.

Heathrow Heavies 2004

Here are some heavies shot at Heathrow back on 22 May 2004. On balance I thought this was the best forum for them, but mods feel free to move to the Nostalgia forum if you prefer. All taken with a Canon EOS D30 (3.1 megapixels!) and a fairly basic EF 75-300 USM MkIII lens. Those with a deeper blue s...
