Lovely set of shots Andy. O/W is a much nicer setting than most airfields with grass and trees rather than tarmac/concrete.

Re: D Day Daks list requests

If anyone needs the full list as seen crossing the coast near Beachy Head then here it is. Excuse basic types(!) Although quite strung out it was a sight and sound to behold as well as a somewhat moving occasion. I did take photographs but only on a shortish lens so quality not good and conditions n...

Courtesy of PlaneBase T.206H c/n T20609217 started life as N617S in 2016 then to HB-TUS until 10/2017 hence the Swiss flag. I'm guessing a delivery stage?

Hope of use

Almost certainly Chilton DW.1 G-JUJU. Shape looks right and Googling for images show right colours (or as much as you can see!).

More Norfolk gems - lovely. Felthorpe has changed a bit since the mid-80s when I used to visit.

Good cross-section there Andy. I have to say the Bronco looks quite intimidating head on. Nice to see larger types on the deck too. Tiger 'KT looks very smart in those marks.

Nice to see some GA for a change.

According to Planebase, there are 9 active(inclusing G-FLYP above and 4 preserved. A further 8 are flagged as withdrawn. All the rest are down as written off or broken up.

Nice set Chris. I do like the AW139 shape especially in the old Bond all red scheme. Love the angle on the Chippie - well, love Chipmunks anyway - memories of ATC AEF flights!

What a great post from not that long ago - well alright possibly approaching 40 years maybe but seems recent to me!

A great mix of types, schemes and identities.

Now where is that time machine?
