Re: Heathrow 18-09-2019 the British Airways retros plus a poll

Good idea for a post/poll Andy, and well caught as always. Have grown up with BA schemes but can recall seeing BOAC and BEA schemes when they were still operating as such, plus of course the odd one or two preserved. So my choice was the BOAC - it had to be a 747 so sorry BEA scheme!

Very nice Andy - haven't been to Switzerland since 2008 but recall that sightings can be few and far between - airfields excepted of course. Consolation view of the Matterhorn from 2005. We took a trip up the Klein Matterhorn Glacier Paradise from Zermatt. It was over 30 degrees C in Zermatt and wel...

No need to ask for kindness! These nostalgic shots are always "judged" on their content, not their quality.

Lovely bit of monochrome nostaliga.

"Overdone"? No way! Brilliant set and in good conditions too. Such a lovely range of colours on these venerable old aircraft.

A colourful beast indeed and looks good on grass too.

I think I've seen more "artistic" designs on PC-6s than any other type - often French ones!
