Re: Old Warden season premiere, 5th May 2019

Good cross-section there Andy. I have to say the Bronco looks quite intimidating head on. Nice to see larger types on the deck too. Tiger 'KT looks very smart in those marks.

Nice to see some GA for a change.

According to Planebase, there are 9 active(inclusing G-FLYP above and 4 preserved. A further 8 are flagged as withdrawn. All the rest are down as written off or broken up.

Nice set Chris. I do like the AW139 shape especially in the old Bond all red scheme. Love the angle on the Chippie - well, love Chipmunks anyway - memories of ATC AEF flights!

Re: Guernsey Airport 80's & 90's

What a great post from not that long ago - well alright possibly approaching 40 years maybe but seems recent to me!

A great mix of types, schemes and identities.

Now where is that time machine?

Re: 747 at 50

When it comes to nostalgia then for me quality of image is far less important than content. You've got some real classics in there. Ok I'm biased when it comes to 747s - I just love 'em :D. I remember my first spotting trip to Heathrow back in 1985 and will never forget the sound of one taking off b...

Re: Boeing 747 at NWI

Nice one Mark! Reminds me of the C-5 Galaxy that made several approaches back on 18th April 1984 between 1730 and 1800 to be precise  Couldn't believe it at the time. Nice to have something completely different like that. Appropriate registration too although not just VBIG also TOO BIG  Do...

Re: Concorde - 15 years after the final flight

I also only have a few Concorde photos but virtually all rubbish ones which aren't even good enough for this type of thread. Andy has already put up some decent shots of Duxford's G-AXDN so just one different frame from me - F-BTSD on display at Parish Air Show in 2003. This is the same one that app...

Re: DH Rapide Poppy Drop at Duxford

Highly appropriate Mark. Quite a stark but fitting contrast between the poppy drop and the Concorde droop. Nicely captured. Just watched last night's Festival of Remembrance and now catching up with this morning's Cenotaph ceremony. Never fails to cause wet eyes.
