Radials Trainers & Transport 2017 Halfpenny Green
Just a reminder for anyone heading to this event this weekend, this is not a stand alone fly in. The Radial & Trainer Fly In is essentially part of the 'Wings' element of a Wings & Wheels Style Event. As such there will be no airside access, anyone popping on a bib and trying to get airside or into ...

Re: Proposed changes to photography military photo rules
Just my view, but you have asked for opinions, I'm afraid I don't like the combining of all the photography threads. My own interests (other than military over on FC) were Helicopters and the lighter side of GA. Updates and recent photos on both of these subjects were easy to find when they had thei...

Re: G-CDCV Raven
They carry some kit that they leave on the ground (base station) then carry out flights doing some sort of geographical survey work with info relayed back to the base station or something very similar to this. The only reason is that I saw it operating out of Halfpenny Green for a day and asked the ...

Halfpenny Green event this Saturday and Sunday 25th & 26th M
Just a 'heads up' that The Military Vehicle Trust' are holding their first Halfpenny Green event this Saturday and Sunday 25th & 26th May. As an active airfield Halfpenny Green is also fully open to flying visitors as normal, so hopefully there will be an increased number of visitors. Gates open at ...

Police EC135 After Dark
A very big thank you to the guys and girls at Central Counties Air Support Unit that made these photos possible. I was trying for a few photos taken during the 'blue hour'. The unit got a shout for a job so I only managed to get a couple of shots off at the start of the 'blue hour' before the helico...

C42 Circuit At Halfpenny Green
Not strictly a pure GA photo, but a bit of fun with a photo sandwich and a C42 flying a tight circuit.

Re: Air to Air with a Jurca
We used a C42 which was quite nice, plenty of space to shoot looking over the shoulder, just had to make sure the wing struts were out of the way.
Thanks for the comments re the blog.

Wolverhampton Airport 19th & 20th May
Don't forget its the 1940s weekend at Halfpenny Green with around 100 military vehicles and over 300 re-enactors booked in. Whilst its not strictly a fly-in, visitors by air get free entry to the event, so it may attract a few visiting types. Military marked aircraft also get free landing fees and f...

Re: Air to Air Aircoupe
G-ARHC is based at Halfpenny Green and G-HARY is based at Bourn. Basically the owner of G-HARY was making a social visit to the current owner of G-ARHC as he'd ferried the pilot of G-ARHC when it was originally delivered to Halfpenny Green. And no I wasn't in either of the Aircoupes and it was a lov...
