Re: Aurigny Air Services

Brilliant post Jez. I grew up beside Glasgow Airport and the Islanders and Trislanders of Loganair have a special place in my memory. They are a type which l ALWAYS photograph if l get the chance. To me they are a British classic no one else made anything like the Trislander. Thanks for posting :thu...

Re: Tipsy Belfair

Hi Noryport
I believe that Belfair G-APOD is still extant. It has been most recently listed as under restoration in Culloden with the owner given as LF Potts.
I would be very glad to see it fly again.

So you photgraphed a black airbus at night... and got a brilliant result. The daytime shot is nice but the night shot is waaay better. Thanks for posting, it's a great result.

Re: Gatwick airlines in the Seventies

Absolute top notch post. I got active in aviation in the mid 70s and loved the variety of types that could be seen in those days.

I feel sorry for young uns today when all airliners look so similar.

I'm a bit remiss about posting comments on people's pictures but l have to say this is great. A really good shot of a really interesting aircraft. I especially like the fact that you caught the moment when it touched down. Great image, thanks for sharing

An absolute thing of beauty! There can't be that many 62s still knocking about.

Always good to see an AN12, they have been regular at Prestwick this month with one every week. Anyone know why these flights are happening and how long they will continue?

Re: Almost too Blue to Photograph

Excellent shots. Funny how 5h-itty circumstances make us look at the world in a better way. I am still using a Fuji Finepix 602 bought in 2001 and getting good results. I sometimes think people are too ready to 'upgrade' and give up on a good camera.

Always good to see something from a more exotic location. There must be some goodies to be found in the wrecks and relics category.

Re: Weekend at LHR

Excellent images Mark and thanks for sharing. I'm prepared to be shot down over this but l can't help but feel a bit sad that a day at LHR these days only yields Airbus or Boeing types. Spotters of a certain age can remember coming away from a day at most airports with about 10 or 20 types from diff...

Nice to see these, one or maybe both belonged to Flt Lt David Cyster who was on 43 squadron. I think he broke Jim Mollison's Australia-England record in one of them

Re: Potez 840 F-BMCY after wheels up landing, March 1981

I recently paid a visit to F-BMCY soon after it's 'rescue' from years in the open at Sumburgh. It is now going to spend more years in the open outside a private house in North Roe at the opposite end of Shetland. Given that this was one of a very few 840s built it surprises me that there was not mor...

Re: S-92 road arrivals into Aberdeen

Keep your eyes peeled for a Brazilian S92 arriving by road very soon (It might already have arrived!) A PR- machine arrived at Tilbury docks recently for onward transport by road to ABZ. It will reappear on the LN register soon.

Re: Birmingham- anyone know what year?

Hi WZ744 I flew Birmingham-Athens in Paramount MD83 G-PATC in July 1987. Not sure how long Paramount lasted but that might narrow it down a bit. Cheers.
