Re: canon 7D mk11 front focus issues
hi, Did you get to the bottom of the problem, or did you revert to sending it off for calibration? I've just got rid of my 100-400 L mk1 for the simple reason that I seemed to bin more than I kept - have traded that for a Canon 300mm F4 L. Dan I printed off a focus calibration chart mounted it to c...

Re: back button focusing
Just to open an old thread & give me spin on it. I shoot lot's of Military aircraft & have found a far greater percentage of keepers when using the back button to focus than trying to keep the shutter button in the right place, In fact I'm so used to it now I tend to use it for all of my focusing d...

Re: British GT championship
andy most of the shots that i have posted are taken with the car coming towards the camera and shot at fast shutter speeds to freeze the action, the picture of the number 11 car was taken at 1600th of a second, the other trick is to get on the exit of a corner or a chicane and the cars will be at th...

British GT championship
on Bank holiday monday i had a day out at oulton park to watch the British Gt championship, the weather was fantastic and the sun shone for most of the day so the sun was in the wrong place making morning shots at knickerbrook impossible so i went further round the circuit to britten's chicane and h...

canon 7D mk11 front focus issues
I have had the 7D mk11 for a while now and have used it many times with my 70-200 2.8 L lens and never noticed an issue when shooting aviation or motorsport, but last friday I was working very close to my subject and using very shallow depth of field of F/2.8 or F/4 and i noticed that close in my le...

Re: Canon launch the 80d
I'm in a bit a pickle here, its time to retire my faithful 600D, but I'm torn between the 7Dmk2 & 80D, both are of similar price. Pros & Cons for both, could anybody help, just a honest opinion I have the 7D mk11 and it is a fantastic camera well suited to aviation photography and if you shoot at a...
