Re: Midlands Air Festival

Hi roger4 G-REGO is the correct registration but its not official registered yet! Perhaps more accurately its not on G-INFO but G-REGO is the correct registration according to the G-DASH - UK Balloon Register and it has pretty good coverage, the next ABN should have confirmation. Edit its now on G-I...

Re: Midlands Air Festival

Hi Roger4 We had a lightning strike nearby last night (Sunday) just before 7 pm which knocked out the Internet for the local area, we live near a hospital but no reports of damage there thankfully. The Internet connection was repaired late this afternoon (about 3.30 pm) hence my late response, sorry...

Re: Birmingham Airport this May 2023

Firm favorites in my family Mike, as I grew up the films used to be on during the holidays, particularly Christmas.

I've used the Marxist joke above on Politics students it always shocks me that they don't know who the Marx Brothers were :o

Re: Birmingham Airport this May 2023

Thanks for that Mike, Groucho now duly attached.

I always like to say to people I'm a Marxist...
They usually look a bit confused until I add
Yes Groucho was my favourite with Harpo a close second but I don't remember Karl, which movie was he in

Re: Road trip to Kemble 20th May 2023

Thanks acw367. Yes, conditions were great at Kemble (unlike my last visit in February) and you can always get some great angles on the various aircraft around the airfield. I meant to ask when were you there? I arrived around 2.45 pm parking by the BAW 747 before going to the parking bay of the A429...

Some pictures from Birmingham Airport May 2023

Hi again The second catch-up post the third and last will be about my road trip to Kemble on Saturday the 20th of May. The combination of roadworks on the M6 and M42 combined with indifferent weather has kept me away from Birmingham recently. Here are a few I have taken so far this May, I hope you l...

Hi again It's time for me to catch up A quick visit to East Midlands Airport on the 2nd of May for a few pictures of the aircraft around the maintenance area.
