Re: Oil Spill B727 - Southend's newest resident

Thanks, great to have it based locally. The second one is due to arrive next month I heard, but so far it seems they're flying to Cardiff for their training flights. I guess they won't be bashing the circuit at Southend due to noise abatement. Some from a departure last week: https://live.staticflic...

Oil Spill B727 - Southend's newest resident

The two Oil Spill 727s operated by 2Excel are now based at Southend. Only G-OSRB has arrived so far but I caught it at sunset last night returning from an overnight stay at Cardiff. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53125594344_abe40a43b4_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53125793180_f503d...

Stunning Skies at Stansted yesterday evening

Popped over to see the military visitors but the conditions were so good for photography with a storm cell passing behind the jets, even the Ryanairs looked good! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53041176742_ab48dc6ae3_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53041176817_4705be960c_h.jpg https:/...

Re: Dubai Air Wing

Thanks Mike. The Air Wing were back on Sunday - missed the arrival of both 747s but did catch the smaller 737-BBJ 'DUBAI 8', as well as several other movements in the afternoon/evening... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53000600497_8e9e6cbd84_o.jpg Silkway are a fairly recent addition to the reg...

Stansted Good Friday featuring the Cargolux Retro

Runway 04 in use. Not my favourite spot for arrivals photos as the jets are still quite high, but was pinning my hopes on a departure before sunset. Sadly it went out about an hour too late for any light. Saw a post on social media the other day saying that FedEx are getting rid of their MD-11s, alt...

Heathrow Sunday 9th Oct

Return visit yesterday. Tried some departures after the 3pm runway switch and quite happy with those, a good spot for future visits. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52418514745_25abba5805_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52418584793_db57c8cad0_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/5...

Re: Heathrow Sunday 2nd Oct

Thanks Andy, it was my first visit for a very long time really - I was there for Air Force One last summer but they were still on single runway ops then due to the pandemic. Few more heavies around yesterday, it was quite enjoyable once the sun reemerged.

Heathrow Sunday 2nd Oct

Couple of hours down at LHR this afternoon, with the intention of getting an A380 or two. Decided to wait for the runway switch and just stick to Myrtle Avenue. Re: Stansted 1st & 2nd November (2021)

Very nice, that Thai livery is superb and I’m quite keen on all the UAE Royal/Dubai Air Wing stuff.

Whereabouts were you shooting that 787 from - the fields behind the pub?

Super panning technique. The Bronco is an interesting visitor.
