Spotting weekender in Lanzarote
Hola! Just back from a few days spotting in Lanzarote - plenty of sun, sea......and planes! I can highly recommend it if anyone is thinking about a spotting trip or holiday there. Sadly, a new double fence has gone up all the way around the perimeter since my last visit which has restricted photogra...

Cracking set of pictures Pete. Liked the ones of the Jet2 737 with the engine cowling raised! Is the ex-UAS Bulldog based at Newcastle?

Re: Prestwick 06/03/11
Thanks Reggie! :thumb: It was the first one I'd seen in the new AF colours. Mach One, yes, I was a bit unsure about straying from Canon or Nikon, but the Pentax was getting really good reviews and I've been more than happy with it so far. I'd certainly recommend it for anyone looking for their first...

Some really nice shots there, the ones from the threshold are great. You get a real sense of the A380's huge wingspan on on the third shot.

Re: Prestwick 06/03/11
Thanks mach one, I was trying out a new lens so I wasn't sure what they were going to turn out like! I'm still fairly new to SLR's so I've not really ventured beyong the auto settings yet, but it seems to have handled the claggy weather ok today! Good to catch up with you earlier Drew :thumb: Yep, I...

Prestwick 06/03/11
Hi All, Here's a couple of shots from a grey and misty Prestwick earlier this afternoon. Highlight was this rather nice Air France Cargo 747F. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5098/5503247493_b0f2633551_b.jpg Air France Cargo Boeing 747F F-GIUD at Prestwick on Flickr http://farm6.static.flickr.com/521...

Re: Glenrothes and Dundee 26-2-2011
Thanks Drew
I hadn't been to Glenrothes for a while and it's always a good place to visit - even if there aren't any planes around it's worth going just for one of the legendary bacon rolls in the clubhouse!
Cheers
