Re: Air UK

Some lovely shots and a few memories there! I spent many hours back and forth to Aberdeen in the F27's when in paid employment.
Also made a few trips to Guernsey and Jersey back in the 80's.

Please keep them coming!

Re: a few New Zealand museum pieces

Looking back through my notes, I see that there was another Wayfarer in Founders Park, Nelson. This one was ZK-CLU 'Merchant Buccaneer'. I was told that it had landed on a beach nearby, then been towed to the museum. It was open to visitors as well. With the aforementioned ZK-CPT at Omaka, I bagged ...

Re: a few New Zealand museum pieces

You missed a treat at Wigram, Dan. We went there a few years ago, and visited twice. The second time we did the backlot tour, got talking with the guide and spent almost two hours there. There are some real gems in New Zealand, often in the most unexpected places. It certainly seem to hold more than...

Re: Norwich

Around 20 years ago there was a Broussard stored in the hangar where the offshore departures offices now are. Any one else remember that one?

Re: London City 10/06/2024

The Rapide made a precautionary landing there last week. It's been fixed and has now moved on back to Duxford.

Bombardier and Gulfstream variants

G'day all, I'm having trouble trying to sort out the plethora of designations that the above give their aircraft. In particular, tying up a designation to a 'popular name'. For example the BD, CRJ/CL and Gulfstream series. Does anyone know of a reference table or website that might help? Many thanks...

Re: Koninklijk Legermuseum - Musée Royal de l'Armée Brussels 4 November 2023

Super pictures, thank you for posting. I visited a few years ago and was very impressed on the range and quality of the stuff in there. Best of all, you can buy a book with pictures of all the exhibits, with text in three languages, all for a reasonable price. With and on-site cafe and gift shop, al...

Those bring back many, mostly, happy memories of flogging up and down the east coast to Aberdeen for work meetings.

If nothing else, it'll get you noticed.
I wonder how much the design consultants charged to come up with that!

Anyway, nice pictures, thank you for posting.

Re: 3 days at dyce

Very nice pictures.

I used to visit ABZ every 4 to 6 weeks for meetings when in the day job. I spent a lot of time in that spot close to the terminal!
ABZ is still (probably) the busiest major helicopter terminal in Europe, despite the rundown of North Sea assets.

Cheers
Bob
