Pretty sure its the cabin pressurisation outflow valve. Basically air is pumped into the cabin and by controlling the outflow of this air the cabin is pressurised. The valve opens in response to the pressure in the cabin to maintain it. Hope i'm right and its not the toilet flap ;-) edit, just sent ...

The IL76 took off at 21-50 and departed over Trent.
Came over my house at 4500 ft making a lovely racket and under the clouds still.

hi guys, my fault for not following it up. i have discussed with the airport and they are happy for us to be on site as a group as long we inform security who is in the group and where we are going to be. couldn't get any airside access due to security and we can only go where you can get anyway. no...

According to a local i was chatting with yesterday, the path had to be re-opened as it shouldn't of been closed in the first place.
Apparantly the car park goes accross council borders and the planning permission is dodgy.

F1 Cargo Flights
The F1 circus is due to fly out to Bahrain this week, the departures are i believe due for the 25th as thats the deadline for teams to get the stuff to the airport.
And of course nothing is guaranteed due to the current situation in Bahrain.
If anyone has any better info, please post.
