Vigilants

It was confirmed today that there are at least a dozen Vigilants at Kemble that have been roaded in from Little Rissington. All I believe have civilian registrations allocated to them but whether they are wearing them or not I don't know. Does anyone know anything about them at all, or better still ...

Re: Questions from around 20 years ago

My GA ID skills aren't up to much but that looks like a non retractable gear Saratoga. I have aviation enthusiast friends in Greece, I'll see whether they can shed any light on that reg,

Mil-8 parked at Heraklion 9th-19th September 2023

We flew into Heraklion on ther 9th September and taxied past a white Mil-8 that was parked on the northern side of the airport close to the sea and some concrete hangars. Distance and heat haze made it impossible to identify. It was still there, and looking like it hadn't moved, on the 19th when we ...

PZL Dromaders at Corfu 2/6/23

A friend has just visited Corfu and landed there on the 2nd June 2023. As they were taxiing, he saw two of the above parked next to the semi derelict An-2. Would anyone know their identities please? Thank you

Many thanks to you, I had seen that on the VRs a couple of times while we were staying on the island so perhaps it did pay a visit.

Falcon 7X at Corfu 20th May 2023

I wonder if anyone can help please? On the 20th May at approx 0800 BST we were in a cab taking us to CFU for our flight home. At the northern end of the runway were parked a Cessna 680 which I read off from the cab and a Falcon 7X which I couldn't ID. FR24 "on the ground" feature didn't have anythin...

B727/B737 fuselage Orlando

Hi all

Driving along E Colonial Drive in Orlando, I saw what was either a 727 or 737 front fuselage about 30ft from the road in a large compound owned by ABC Used Car Parts. The fuselage had "AIRPORT TOWING" painted on the fuselage side. Would anyone know of its ID please? Thank you

Rhodes, Maritsa request 14/9/22

From the summit of Filerimos south of Rhodes Town, you can look across to the old international airport at Maritsa. We were there last week and could see 2 x AT-802 Air Tractors on the apron along with the other military stuff, two Apaches, a Chinook, a Mil-8 and the preserved T-33. As with the Air ...

Covered helis at Castle Air, Liskeard Heliport

I drove down to take a look yesterday. A109 G-ETPJ was visible inside the hangar but around the back were five heli fuselages wrapped in black plastic sitting on wooden stands. Would anyone know their identities please? MTIA

Stored airliners at Naples Capodachino

I departed Naples on 11th June 2022 and as we were taxiiing for takeoff, there were two aircraft in the storage area that I've been unable to identify. The first was an ATR42, the second an A320 which seemed to be in basic primer scheme. It was rather hot and there was a great deal of heat haze so t...

Washington Dulles Transpo June 2nd/3rd 1972

A big ask here, I attended this show in 1972 with four friends, I have only had hand written logs for fifty years and now that I'm transferring everything on to a digital logging system, it's become obvious that my log contains many misspoles. Did anyone from this group attend the show and if so, wo...

B737 transitting southern UK 13/11/20

On the 13th November, a Boeing 737-85R c/n 42805 went westbound across southern UK,having departed Woensdrecht, went as far as southern Ireland where it did a 180 turn and returned to Woensdrecht. Jet Photos shows her at WOE on the 13th prior to the airtest in full Samoan Airlines scheme and wearing...

Bridgetown, Barbados July 2000

Hi all, a very long shot indeed, but back in July 2000, I visited Bridgetown and noted the wreck of a Beech 23 by the Flying Club hangar. I've never been able to find an ID for it, would anyone have any ideas please? MTIA

Elstree 21/9/20

At 1357 BST a pair of PC12's departed Elstree. One of them was plotting as M-SAXY and went to Sardinia but the second wasn't plotting. They were seen together over Reading and then over the south coast before heading for France.

Does anyone have any ideas as to the ID of the second PC12 please?

Re: LCY visitor 17/11/19. Can you help?

Couldn't resist having a look at this, the flight originated from Aberdeen and landed at LCY at 1257L. The replay shows it was a Phenom 300 and was squawking 7312 but after that, the trail goes dead. Based on the CS- prefix, there are 17 x Phenom 300's on the Portuguese register according to PlaneBa...
