Re: Request LHR 27/12

That certainly looks like him, like I said it was a bit foggy and I only spotted him from G-CIVL as we were in the queue for 27L but couldn't get a better look as they switched us to 27R :/

Thanks for your help, it's much appreciated :)

Request LHR 27/12

Howdy Fellas, I transited through Heathrow on Thursday 27th December 2018 and as we were taxiing out on the connecting flight I spotted what looked like a private 747 parked up on the far side of 27L opposite Terminal 4. I couldn't see it clearly though as it was a very foggy day, it looked white wi...

G-TCDF Departing Skiathos 13/05/2018

Thomas Cook's G-TCDF taking off from Skiathos Airport on a murky Sunday evening, I know most prefer the more traditional departure but I enjoy the odd Xanemos Beach departure too as you are that close you get to enjoy the sound even more :)

"Grounded" Web Series: your thoughts please

Hi Chaps, In an attempt at expanding my aviation YouTube channel (Expo Aviation) I've started a spin-off series of "programmes" that looks at airlines which have gone bust which I've called "Grounded". The first episode went online just before I went on holiday a few weeks back and as I'm putting th...

Re: Cumbrian Hoovers railtour 14/4/18

Yeah Cargo-D went bust I think around 2013-2014 which was a shame, the positive was that at least DRS took on the stock so it's getting daily mainline use :) I know what you mean about imagination, if only we could convince Rivera to paint that Genny in Blue & Grey or a full set in Intercity and we'...

Re: Cumbrian Hoovers railtour 14/4/18

Great shots :) Here's my video of them at Wigan and later Bamfurlong on their return in the evening. https://youtu.be/RR1EdKcycVw The Cargo D stock went to DRS, the stock that was used in this tour was the Rivera stuff which has finally been painted into Blue & Grey after spending far too long in fa...

Monarch Cook A321 First Visit to Skiathos

The former G-ZBAO caught making it's debut appearance in Sunny Skiathos in the hybrid Monarch Airlines / Thomas Cook livery. It was the first time I've seen a Monarch bird in flight since their demise, gonna take a while to get over that one :( https://youtu.be/bxGXM1BwKvE I had trimmed it down a bi...

Re: Skiathos Water Cannon Salute

Thanks Mike, There is a standard security fence along the perimeter however at the end of the runway it's replaced by coils of razor wire hidden in the long grass and a well hidden moat - well a trench full of weeds and quite possibly alligators ;) Having eyed it up myself I reckon it would take a g...

Skiathos Water Cannon Salute

I've just got back from a holiday to Skiathos and just like last year happened to be on the first flight (this time I'd planned it especially) and once again recieved a water cannon salute to welcome the first charter flight of the year. I filmed the landing and subsequent shower and stuck it on my ...

Mostly Wet & Some Breezy Landings at Southampton 29.03.18

The title says it all really, a rather wet day at Eastleigh Railway Station offered an opportunity to get some videos of the Southampton arrivals in the rain and deterioraing conditions...

Bristol Summer 2005

As some of you may know I was based at Bristol Airport from April 2005 to November 2005 and for some foolish reason didn't take down registrations (my first mistake), my second mistake was not taking many photographs despite living pretty much at the end of the runway. I have managed to pull registr...

Re: Chinook British Airways

Excellent shots mate, I always thought it rather quirky seeing Chinooks in BA livery. Great shots Pete, the last time I was in that hangar it was full of AAC Lynx helicopters on maintenance, all the doors were open and no-one around to ask nicely ! The last time I was at that hangar they wouldn't le...

So it was picking up Refugees fleeing Liverpool and taking them to Beirut? Sounds about right :P

Joking aside, thanks for the info :)

Re: Inbound/Outbound LPL (Speke) 30/01/2018

I was rather chuffed to clock the Almasria A320 as I was getting to the bus stop on the trudge into work, spotting a brand new Swiss 777 on it's delivery flight cruising overhead moments after I stepped off the bus completed that morning for me :D Any idea what the A230 was in for? Greetings from Manchester

Hi Folks, I'm Phil, from Manchester and former cabin crew who has previously been based at BRS, MAN and LGW. I worked on 737-400/800, 757-200, 767-200/300 and Airbus A320 and had been trained on 737-300/900ER and 747-200/300 but never operated them. My interest in aviation was rebooted in late 2015 ...
