Shanghai Hongqiao 2009

During one of my trips to China I had a couple of days free time to discover the wonderful sights of Shanghai, this of course meant a trip over to Shanghai Hongqiao airport as I only ever got to stay at Pudong. I followed the various spotting reports and booked myself into the Hong Gang hotel, reque...

Heathrow from 2003

Was going through some old snaps I took from many moons back, what is really poignant is that the vast majority cant be seen anymore. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50445669151_6a80f59abd_h.jpg Untitled by Rob Burns , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50445844017_7d760bab0e_h.jpg Un...

Some freighter action

Had a long weekend in Germany hunting 747's, whilst there we were treated to no end of freighter movements as airlines increase flights to cover lack of capacity due to pax flight cancelations, the following we shot on a Saturday and Sunday.... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50259841881_5bc3cd6...

A couple of hours at Cologne.

After a few days in Germany chasing Tornados and 747's we had a couple of hours at Cologne dodging heavy thunder storms. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50255008007_298d8671bd_b.jpg Untitled by Rob Burns , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50254833071_fdf0cc6451_b.jpg Untitled by Rob...

A Jumbo weekend.

Knowing what a hit the 747 took during Covid I decided on a weekend away to shoot as many 747's as I could after some quick research I decided Germany would be best, here are the results. First a quick stop at Liege en route from Cologne to Buchel. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50238236402_660...

A disturbing sight at Maastricht

Have seen these things buzzing round the country for so long and being such a big part of my local (Manchester), it was disturbing to see this sight at Maastricht. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50226605512_8052bfa171_b.jpg Untitled by Rob Burns , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/5...

Had a couple of days meetings in Kyiv resulting in a morning to myself, so up early and a taxi too the museum resulted in the following being seen. Quality not the best as I only had my point and shoot with me as I couldn't really be lugging my proper gear round Kyiv meetings for two days. https://l...

Afternoon at Changhi beach Part 2.

As mentioned before, a work trip to Malaysia saw me with a day to kill so I jumped the Air Asia down to Singapore as Kuala Lumpur can get a bit repetitive. The flights were £59 return an took just over 1 hour. On arrival at Singapore you park at terminal 4 which appears to be the low cost terminal, ...

A day at Palma

One place I had always fancied a crack at was Palma, so with a weekend to spare in mid November a booked a RYR special for a three days, the only thing I forgot to do was inform Mother Nature of my plans...two days of solid rain, storms and high winds found me bailing out to Madrid, but not before t...
